  1. Ozmosis

Hello all. Been lurking for a while and decided to give Oz a go on my GA-Z77N-WIFI. Downloaded a modded bios from the German forum for F3 and the 149x (sorry don't have details in front of me at the moment). Q-Flash went fine but I can't get anything to boot. Vanilla 10.10.1 USB boots very slowly from white logo on black screen and then shows the no parking symbol (still waiting for device). I get the same if I try booting a formally working chimera partition (still has some kexts). I removed the EFI folder from an old Clover attempt just to ensure that I was booting vanilla but I see that there is some reference to EFI/Oz etc. I thought Oz was the boot loader but it still needs to load an EFI partition? Any ideas as to what is up? I also tried doing my own patch with MMTool but get the same no parking symbol result... Finally: tried checking a new build of Oz was up but the site appears offline? Hmm Oz version on that modded bios was probably 1479.
  2. [Guide] Getting XFX HD6850 connectors to work

Hey guys. I have the exact same hardware as Alex and was wondering if this guide would also apply to modifying the updated kexts in 10.7.5, 10.8.5 etc. Or has Alex posted updated kexts somewhere?
  3. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Excellent. As suggested, could you please make a new topic for work on the P8P67 PRO? I think there are a lot of people following who are waiting for a slimmed down DSDT and SpeedStep support on this popular board (myself included ;-) )!
  4. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Excellent! Well maybe there's a chance of this eventually becoming a DSDT autopatcher? What would happen if I tried this on my PRO and i7-2600k (that does KP without NullCPUPM)?
  5. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Been following for a while. It's sad to see such a valuable participant retire. If you wouldn't mind clarifying just a bit: where are we with things? What works and what doesn't? Is SpeedStepping working well? Does the patcher work with my configuration?... I'm running a P8P67 PRO (non-M) with an i7-2600k. Any chance of a walk through (maybe on a new thread)? Thanks!
  6. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Cool man. Those are good points. I'd like to stick with Asus if I can. I guess we'll know more pretty soon.
  7. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Hey guys. I have a one-time opportunity to unload my P8P67 PRO and buy a Gigabyte or Asus Z68. I have to decide soon. Are things looking like they're going to happen? Think Asus is going to continue on their own path or will they align with what other manufacturers are doing?
  8. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Gotcha. Looks like you guys have got them under control anyhow Your second point would explain why HQ is locking our precious bit?
  9. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

I've added my support (on HF). Shall I invite tonymac Asus owner to contribute their support or are you good for now?
  10. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

As I said, I'm sure many users, including myself would be happy to post on places like tonymac and hardforum. But this needs to be understandable by more users than just the tech elite to gain some traction. I've asked a couple times for a simple, easy to understand description of the issue. If you give me that I'll post it at a bunch of sites. I do agree that if Asus does nothing we could be looking at huge wave of product returns. -j
  11. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

If you can supply the text that describes the issue that needs to be fixed (in a Linux or otherwise more savory way) I'd be very happy to help spread it around.
  12. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Considering that Asus appears to be the only motherboard with these specific bugs, and the fact that I'm not going to be much help from a technical POV, I'm wondering if there's something I can do to get us in close contact with whoever is getting BIOS updates pushed out. I know you guys have been in touch with someone as well. Let me know if I can do some legwork.
  13. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

I agree. But I do think it's worth mentioning as a TonyMac post in the Sandy Bridge forum. At least it means more informed users. For all of us newbs and semi-newbs, if you construct a form letter, I'm sure quite a few would be happy to post.
  14. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

I'm with you. Let us know what we can do to put some pressure on. I also suggest posting specifically what you said above (or at least threatening to) in places like Tonymac which has a pretty big influence on buying decisions. ...
  15. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

Thanks so much guys! This is very exciting. Will there be a version for the P8P67 PRO? Also, how will this relate to Z68 boards?
