1. My board is rev1.4 F9 I used multivbeast 3.8 and used the standalone chimera upgrade 1.5.4 to fix iCloud and FaceTime When I restart every once and awhile I get an error and a message to either continue to boot or use last good configuration. When I go to check the settings my boot order has gone back to the default and the HPET setting goes back to 32 bit from 64 bit
2. That was the source of my original problem too. When I rebuilt I used DSDT auto patcher to create a new DSDT (candor supplied the auto patcher. Installed lion and used the version of ##### you sent (3.8.0). Everything except audio and wireless work perfectly. Did the same thing you did with audio kexts ->ALC8xxHDA ->AppleHDA Rollback Non-DSDT HDA Enabler -> ALC887/888b It appears that the non DSDT HDA enabler is the key. My wireless is an ASUS N13 which has a utility to load in snow leopard. Originally when I upgraded to lion it was working but on a fresh install the utility sees the adapter but won't connect so I went bak to an old leopard mac , found the plist file and added that to preferences. It connects but will not store a profile.(no big deal to me since Im not mobile) Instead of upgrading to 4.03 because it caused problems I chose Chimera to 1.5.4. That fixed iCloud and FaceTime without the problems caused by 4.03. Only one issue though. It randomly resets the bios on reboot. Not every time though. Still trying to figure that one out. If you want the DSDT auto patcher i can send it to you. Just let me know. Not sure where to post access though.
3. Thanks for all your help. Just tried your files. still no sound. Shows up in Sys info but not in prefs. I think my choice at this point is to either reinstall lion and then try it on a clean install or to use USB audio. I'm one of those people who dont like to give up. I was not familiar with creating a customdsdt and found one that worked with the exception of sound. I wonder if the dsdt needs to be edited or if its something else. Just not looking forward to rebuilding from scratch.
4. I must not have the correct version of legacyhda.kext because i installed the legacyhda.kext that I have in S/L/E and then ran ##### 3.2 appleHDA rollback. No sound but it shows in System info as intel HD audio. Sound preference pane does not see any device. Since I've had no luck i would absolutely appreciate it if you would send me the files. Everything else works perfect
5. Its rev 1.4 F9 and I had tried several solutions including Nandor690'' so I must not be doing something right. The only time the sound worked was when I had 10.6 to 10.6.7 installed. lost it after 10.6.8 and never had it working since. Am going to retry Nandors and see. No luck. After removing Lion HDA and installing rollback and Legacy in S/L/A Intel HD Audio shows up in System info but "no device found in Audio System prefs. any other suggestions?
6. I too have just upgraded to 10.7.2. No iCloud. Got error this is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud ID. but if you use this fix it will work: A boot loader update And a Network configuration reset The boot loader is the new Chameleon Revision 2.1 from Kexts.com with the iCloud and Facetime fix over here: http://www.kexts.com/view/1941-chameleon_2.1_r1627vs_[icloud__facetime_fix].html so one you have downloaded that mount the image and run the installer Don’t reboot. Now using the go to keyboard shortcut I mentioned earlier (Command+G) type “/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/” And delete the following files com.apple.network.identification.plist NetworkInterfaces.plist Now reboot. Any idea why sound wont work on my system? Rollback and legacy HDA didnt work or am I installing incorrectly. Running rollback from ##### and putting Legacy in Extras.
7. I have same issue.Using a dsdt downloaded for G41M-E2SL. Tried Legacy HDA and Rollback package to no avail. Everything else works. 64 bit Using USB sound card but would like to use internal. Running: G41M-E2SL V 1.4 F9 3 GHz Core 2 Duo 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 EVGA GT240 Seagate 1TB ASUS USB N13 wireless Any suggestions?
8. Getting Native resolution GeForce 8400GS

hari.iiitb Your graphics fix worked fine for 10.6.3 but when I upgraded to10.6.6 it broke. OS would load but instead of displaying desktop all I get is a flickering blue screen. The only way to remove was to go into single user mode and remove the kexts and replace with original ones. Then all I get is one resolution (1280 x 1024). Anybody know how to fix this in 10.6.6 or 10.6.7? GA-G41M-E2SL E5700 Dual Core 2 Gig corsair DDR2 Asus GeForce 8400GS silent PCIe 10.6.6 Ridge1ine generic dsdt ver 2.6.3
9. GA-G41M-2ESL E5700 Dual Core 2 Gig corsair DDR2 Asus GeForce 8400GS silent PCIe 10.6.6 Ridge1ine post installer 2.6.3 Used Ridge1ines 2.6.3 post installer. Upgraded to 10.6.6, used lnx2mac realtek kext for lan and finally used GigabyteALC88b6Ch.kext and HDAEnabler.kext make audio work(link http://www.mediafire.com/?jomygylxukj). for audio. My last problem is video. Using Asus 8400GS silent worked out of box with no additional kexts. In 10.6.3 I used modded NVDANV50Hal.kext ,NVDAResman.kext, NVEnabler64.kext and GeForce.kext that I found in one of the forums. This worked 100%. I was able to change resolutions, it detected my monitor correctly and no problems. After upgrading to 10.6.6 all I get is a flickering blue screen. If I remove the modded files and use it with graphics enabler=yes I get one resolution (1280 x 1024). Does anyone know how to restore full functionality in 10.6.6?
