    USB camera with 10.4.9

I installed JaS 10.4.9 combo SSE3 update on clean JaS 10.4.8 on my Lenovo 3000 V100. I was hoping to get the built-in camera to work since it's listed as USB device in System Profiler and this issue was part of the update. It doesn't work. Still no camera (iChat, Macam). I connected Creative WebCam Live! Pro to USB port, but with the same result. Still no camera. Any ideas? Please help.

[How To] Solutions for Wireless Problems

    what about Intel 3945ABG???
  5. I have similar problem with intergated camera in my Lenovo 3000 V100, the camera is ALi Auto Focus 1.3 MP (PId 0x5602, VId 0x0402). Same kind of luck with USB Creative WebCam Live! Pro (PId 0x4038, VId 0x041e). I've tried Macam 0.9.0 and iChatUSBCam. No luck at all.
  6. Working! Lenovo 3000 V100, Core Duo. XP Pro, OSX86 JaS 10.4.8 w/8.8.1 kernel. Only flaw is that there is no way how to make my Intel 3945AGB wireless to work. Let me know if you have other info or experience plz. My built-in camera is also not working, but I believe I can make that happen. Thanks to all the good ppl in this forum!!!!!! (Rammjet esp.)
  7. I figured it out (after 3 night of trial-false process; had to reinstall Windows about 4 times because everytime I touched HDD from OSX installed on external drive (mp3 player), it would erase the whole disk). I finally changed the settings for my hdd in BIOS, from SATA to the other one - I forgot the name of it now... basically it just pretends to be regular ATA, so I can boot into installer natively and then erase it with OSX Journaled. Works great. Just a tip: You have to have your hdd in WIN - OSX order for it to work. Both need to be primary. I also use Acronis bootloader. But I store it on another primary 100 MB partition located behind win and osx (This way if I mess win partition up by playing in OSX, I will still be able to boot back - I learned this the hard way when I stored bootloader on Win partition ). Everything works great, I just fixed my sound so the only thing left is wireless. Let me know if it helped.
  8. Same here, Lenovo 3000 V100, dual core. (10.4.6 installs and runs fine though) 10.4.8 gives me blue screen and the installation seems to be running for a few minutes but them it stops.
  9. PLEASE HELP! ANYONE??? Why can't I mount my HDD??
  10. Hi guys, looking for some help here. I spent two days trying to figure this out. I've got Presario R3000 (Intel). I've installed OSX 10.4.6 (JaS) on virtual machine using Vmware. everything worked fine (except for OS X being slow of course). I'd like to boot in it natively (but can't do installation from DVD because of that "IOPCCardBridge Start failed" error. I'd work around that later.). So I went and started virtual machine using physical disk (as described here, for example), but during darwin bootup I get diskarbitrationd[33]: unable to mount /dev/disk0sx (x being 1, 2 or 3, which is random - notice I only have 2 partitions on my HDD, one with XP and second where I want to install OS X). However the installation continues, but then in Disk Utility I'm unable to format the partition (it says they are unmounted and the system won't let me mount them). I've tried many different settings and followed many guides, but nothing seems to get me over this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. There's a bet going on between me and my friend, who used to work for Apple in Cali as a programmer for several years, and who's telling me that you cannot possibly run OSX on PC natively. I'd like to prove him wrong. ---------------------- EDIT: I'm getting the same error with native boot on Lenovo 3000 V100. What could be the problem here??
