  1. Did you try with Danieleds DSDT ? I beilieve he was able to disable the Nvidea discrete card: [RehabMan's Guide] Disabling discrete graphics in dual-GPU laptops One issue I had with El Capitan is that it suddenly stopped working after an unexpected reboot. I thought it was linked to something I did. After hours trying to fix it, I ended up reinstalling everything following the exact same steps and it worked. My guess is that one boot file got corrupted. My recommendation, again, would be: going directly for High Sierra might be an easier path. Good luck.
  2. Zenbook Ux31 successfully updated to 10.13.2 instructions: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/macos-10-13-2-update.239847/ 1. update clover + apfs.efi 2. update to latest Lilu.kext (v 1.2.1) and AppleALC.kext (v 1.2.1) 3. reboot 4. Install Update After that update went through and updated without issues.
  3. @pavn You are probably right. The Ux32 dual graphics is a source of headaches. You should use Danieleds' guide instead: high Sierra with an Ux32vd. Hope it works right away for you this time.
  4. @pavn 1. My first recommendation would be to install High Sierra directly with a USB stick. In my case, I did not install Sierra. I tried to boot high Sierra with a USB stick and it worked right away. I therefore installed High Sierra directly. 2. To disable USB3 : F2 to get to Bios. Then set XHCI to disabled and USB2 Legacy to Enabled. Before using SSDT-UIAC-UX31A.aml (in Clover Acpi Patched) I was not able to get USB3 working. For example, when XHCI was set to auto or enabled, boot would be stuck at USBLegacyRoot0 You may try that at least to boot all the way. 3. AsusNBFnKeys.kext You may remove this kext from Clover kext Other. You may also remove IOath3kfrmwr.kext if you don't have a Bluetooth device. A least you may get a better understanding of the problem. 4. FWI: Initial boot sequence I have (extract) I have ACPI sleep states S3 S4 S5 HID, RTC, HID, then FakeSMC v6.21)311 ACPIBatteryManager Then AsusNBFnKeys.kext Then many STD lines (keyboard) WLAN More STD lines HardwareType Ath_get_caps (atheros Wifi Card) --> AppleUSBHostRessorces0 //That's the USB part I had trouble with when enabling USB3 without Rehabman's injection method. nx_kernel_mount --> Got boot device Darwin... Hope it helps.
  5. @pavn : I also get the last two lines, not finding the GPU device. I looked at the the rest of your screenshot. Again. I have the same information and boot continues fine. You may try to disable EHCI[Edit: XHCI] in Bios and to unable USB2 Legacy only. You may try to use the clover files I posted & copy the 10.13 kexts to the 10.12 Clover directory for Sierra instead of High Sierra.
  6. UX31A High Sierra Success. Here is a a short summary, starting with what is not working: SD Card Reader. Speed step is working: (U31a mutex high sierra guide) HDA Sound is working: (U31a mutex high sierra guide) USB3/USB2 ports are all working: (Thanks to RehabMan's help. See my post) Sleep is working. LID is working. Backlight is working (EMlyDinEsH + Fn F2-F6) ALS is working (EMlyDinEsH) Battery display is working but the value in the menu bar does not refresh itself. I have to select it. [Edit: I installed battery monitor which also displays the time remaining] Concerning DSDT+ Clover patching, I tried the hot patch approach recommended by ReHabMan starting with a fresh DSDT extract combined with very little patching work. Most of the work is done with Clover. I also tried with my previously posted DSDT14, which includes an extensive patching work, adding a couple of patches (XHC1 + USB3 sleep). While results are similar, I am currently using the Clover / hot patch approach. Results have never been better. Stability and performance are achieved, credit due to the great work of authors of the different guides.
  7. High Sierra Success (fresh re-install) UX31A UX31A working very well after a fresh install:High Sierra with a USB Stick I used my previously posted dsdt14 (this forum) I followed these directions from Danieleds https://github.com/danieleds/Asus-UX32VD-Hackintosh As well as, U31a mutex high sierra https://www.mutex.es/macos-sierra-asus-ux31a.html Shinji3rd has a very clear guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-asus-zenbook-ux310uak-macos-sierra-installation-guide.224591/ ref: How to Create a macOS High Sierra Installation USB https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-create-a-macos-high-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.225520/ I am currently following RehabMan's incredible work get both USB (ideally USB 3) and sleep working together. I have configured USBInjectAll.kext but loose sleep. I'll edit this post with more news.
  8. GA-P55A-UD3 Rev. 1.0 Bios F11

@fallen00sniper Thank you for your recap. I updated a GA-P55A-UD3 Rev. 1.0 Bios F11 rig to High Sierra directly from El Capitan (skipped Sierra). Configuration is working great. One remaining minor issue from the Snow Leopard time. DVD drive (PATA/IDE) is not recognized.
  9. UX31a: 10.11 El Capitan (working) Clover revision 3280 QE (yes with patched kext) I used a USB stick for the installation. I had two partitions, one (working) Yosemite and one for El Capitan. I copied all necessary kext to EFI/Clover/Kext/10.11 I disabled USB3 (XHCI) in bios I rebooted and from Clover I selected the USB stick. After the install I cleared caches and installed Kext from Yosemite working partition. I used DSDT14 (see post above) Working great. If I install something, it sometimes gets stuck at boot. I have to boot on the Yosemite partition, clear caches and I am back in business with El Capitan.
  10. UX31a: Yosemite 10.10.5 (working) Clover revision 3259 QE (yes with patched kext) Used DSDT13.aml posted two years ago for 10.9 Edit : DSDT14.aml with corrected HDEF (audio ID 3) - see attached file I installed Yosemite 10.10.1 and got it working right away (safe mode boot at first). I ran Onyx to fully repair permissions and clean caches. I rebooted a few times: System is Ok. I did it again on another partition : OK again. I updated (combo) to 10.10.5 directly. It worked I ran Onyx to fully repair permissions and clean caches. I got an error with several kext being not compatible. I rebooted and I get kernel panic after the white apple on black background boot sequence. Remove (old) conflicting kext from S/L/E and kept most of them in EFI/CLOVER/kext/10.10, repaired permission from 10.10.1 and rebooted into 10.10.5 partition after : OK. I sometimes have to reboot the 10.10.1 partition and remove caches on 10.10.5 to Boot flawlessly again. Boot is much faster with Yosemite than with Maverick Best source for Yosemite UX31A and UX32A : Centurion2005's work with 10.10.2. His DSDT was not compatible with a UX31A Zenbook. I just replaced it with DSDT14.aml A big thanks to EmlyDinEsh for the Elan trackPad version 4.5.5. It's working very smoothly DSDT14.aml.zip DSDT14.dsl.zip
  11. iMessage success ! Thank you Fusion71au for your detailed guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/page-5?do=findComment&comment=2040654 I was able to set all 7 variables in config.plist (Clover). IMessage_debug yields correct information now.
  12. It seems that several inputs are missing from heryts' post. iMessage_debug yields : IOPlatformSerialNumber: (<key>SerialNumber</key>) OK IOPlatformUUID: (which is the Hardware UUID found at Apple Menu, about this mac) : missing board-id: (<key>Board-ID</key>) can be generated with Clover Configurator product-name: (<key>ProductName</key>) ex iMac14,2. Changing this will change the IOPlatformUUID above. ROM: (<key>ROM</key>) which is a MAC address on a real mac. MLB: (<key>MLB</key>) 17 digit board number. I found that <key>SmUUID</key> corresponds to the system-id, which is different from the Hardware ID ioreg -l -p IODeviceTree | grep \"system-id (from terminal) As a summary, board-id, product-name and IOPlatformUUID are linked and needs to be correct. ioreg -lw0 | grep PlatformUUID (from terminal) I could not inject a chosen IOPlatformUUID, even with CustomUUID which injects a Hardware ID instead. I tried with PlatformUUID.kext but injection is not at the right place.
  13. clover works with UEFI bios.EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi is set for Windows boot on Ux31a. In Bios setup you should see other paths. If you have a USB key with Clover you will notice a different path. Try the following path, if it matches your configuration: \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi
  14. UX31 : 10.9 working Thanks for posting the kexts. @darkera13 : Why did you choose MacBookAir 6,2 ?
