+1 to that. I installed the 10.6.7 update, and i get scrambled screen. Did not try the Screen sharing, but i catches the right resolutions, from what i could see. I used 25 minutes to find the screen settings :-)

Hi and hello. :-) It was my birthday yesterday - i was lucky. My fiance gave me a retail SL 10.6.3 install :-) I used the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] disc to boot up - installed SL w/o any problems at all, and my laptop boots up just fine. Things that work: Bluetooth - sound - usb - keyboard - ethernet. I've read various guides around the www, and found the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] + [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] most attractive. After all i really would like to update to 10.6.6 to get the rest of the hardware to work - i've read my Atheros AR9285 got supported in the 10.6.5 update. Oh now to the actual problem :-) Following the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] instructions - i opened the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] app before the update package - installed the update, used the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] dsdt settings and rebooted. I did it in -x -v mode. Now i get the error: applesmbuspci failed to get acpi path for provider after that i get the shutdowncause 3 Anyone got any idea what could help here ? I've thought about making a custom dsdt, but since im quite new to the osx86 community, i dont really know how to do it. :-( Thanks in advance! Hi. Im also new. I've managed to get to the installer on the Hazard distro - with the boot options: cpuratio=18 busratio=22 -v -x My problem is, that i want to dual boot windows 7 and osx, and i can only see 1 of my 500 gb drives. Unfortunatly the wrong one, with windows installed on. Cheers from Jeppe :-) EDIT: Woops. Forgot to tell that i have the same laptop as you - except from the CPU. I've got a i5-460M.
