  1. Isn't it a possibility that this is not "radio" as in the AM/FM entertainment sense, but simply radio as in connecting to the cell phone towers or wireless networks? I've seen laptops that have "Turn Radio On/Off" in their wireless network configurations. Unless there was something else in the firmware that gave further insight into what it means.

    Leopard Installation Method

Dashcode works if you change the installer requirements from 10.5 to 10.4. Its not really stable, either. I didn't run it on Tiger. So it may just be the Application, or it has problems when running on not-Leopard. You could also copy the XCode tools to some other folder, and burn the DVD. Then install them once OS X is installed. There's not a need for them on the DVD - you can't install them during boot installation.
  6. Apple Retail Store. If you can get the right salesperson, they will help you make the right choice, whether you're a technogeek or new to computers. They can also draw you into buying extra things, at a discount, but they can drive up your amount spent.

    Double Clicking on a MBP

It works on my 17" MBP. However, it seems that, even though the box is checked, it "forgets" to work after reboots. However, unselecting and then re-selecting it enables it.

    17" Technical Issues?

My palms don't get too sweaty. The main heat is between the top of the keyboard and the lcd. However, if you're doing some processor intensive tasks (I was trying compressor), it burns up. I mean, if you touch the bottom, its like its on fire. I did have to re-install OS X after using BootCamp. I think a standby that messed up corrupted the OS X partition. Though It may be MacDrive (which I have since uninstalled). For a while at least, keep backups. The only "whine" I've noticed, don't even know if its a whine, is when there is a CD/DVD in the drive. If you're listening to something else, you won't notice it. Its very, very soft, nothing detrimental to the experience.

    17" Technical Issues?

Haven't had any so far. Sometimes internet seems a little weird, but I think its just my internet connection. Haven't heard a whine, and not too hot.

    Audio Stuttering

Audio and Video often starts to stutter when playing. It used to not happen, but now it does. I've tried disabling HyperThreading in the BIOS, and using the base kernel. It doesn't happen at the start of use of the installation, but after a few weeks, it happens. I'm using the Aopen i945Ga-PHS mobo with ALC880 audio.
