  1. Dear everyone, I'm currently running a nice Dell Precision 7710 with 10.12.6, and it's going quite well. The only things I'm having trouble with now is that sleep returns to a black screen (I set pmset hibernatemode=0), and I can't seem to control the brightness. Pushing Fn+F8 keys or higher also freezes the system (I suspect this may be related to the brightness control, though). I hope someone can help me out in the right direction to get these two things working. So far this is a great laptop, and even the TB3 port is fully functional. I'll soon upgrade it with an NVME drive and 32GB RAM, as I ordered it to test this bleeding edge hardware first, and upgrade later. I have attached all files I can think of are relevant, so I hope someone here will be able to help me further with these two issues DSDT.zip IOREG 7710.zip SSDT-origin.zip EFI.zip
  2. Hiya, any chance you can get the Plextor PX-512M8PeG to work as well? Plextor seems cursed compared to the Samsung drives. I'm not sure if it's a matter of "adding support", or that the Samsung drives natively come closer to Apple hardware.
  3. chameleon.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>No</string> <key>IGPEnabler</key> <string>No</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000 nvda_drv=1</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>01000000</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist> SMBIOS.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>Mac Pro</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>*removed*</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>*removed*</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>url</string> </dict> </plist>
  4. Dear everyone, I've built a system with the following specs and installed 10.10.5 on it which is running splendid: GA-X99-UD3 5820K GTX 980 4GB 32GB Crucial CT4K8G4DFD8213 Samsung EVO 750 500GB 4TB HDD The problem is that the screen goes black after a while in idle and then becomes unresponsive, needing a reset. All power management options are disabled, so the screen, HDD, or system should not sleep/hibernate. The problem only occurs when not working with the system, in idle mode. I'm running the latest Chimera. This is all the information I can currently supply, because I'm not at the system. I expect to be able to deliver more information tomorrow, if requested. Maybe someone can shed light on this problem already? Many thanks! Al PS: Please move to Yosemite post-install.
  5. Hi people, Title says most. I'm looking for OOB 10.11.5 El Capitan Bluetooth 4.x dongle, or working patched alternative. I have a BCM20702 and tried it with Rehab's kexts, to no avail. Thanks for the help!
  6. Not yet, should be able to make it in the coming hours.
  7. It took me a while to get time for this. Fact of the matter is: My bootable Clover installer doesn't see the Hack partition either. It seems to me that the partition isn't marked as "active", but so far Windows hasn't helped me do this either (it's grayed out).
  8. Now I'm thoroughly confused. I'm running Chimera, I mean, it shows that literally and I know what Clover looks like as well. I've had this system run for months, until the hardware rebuild. I'm lost. But I think I'll try to to install either Enoch to USB or Clover, but I didn't have time the last 2 days. I'm running El Cap, pretty sure about that, but eh, it's hard to check if I can't launch the system. I can access the Mac HDD though, so if there's a file indicating the one or the other, I could show. Any ideas on why my drive wouldn't show up in the bootloader, though? Cheers Thanks for thinking with me people!
  9. The plot thickens. I'm 100% sure I'm using a Chameleon-based bootloader. It says Chimera 4.1. I have used this for months, until I happened to reinstall the hardware on my system into a new casing. I'm trying to make a Enoch bootable on a VMWare system, because currently I have only a Snow Leopard system that doesn't accept Enoch for USB. The installer keeps failing.
  10. I think it's Enoch yeah. Is there a way to check? I usually run Clover, but this PC needed Chameleon. EDIT: It's Chimera I'm trying to make a new bootable USB now. If that works, I'll reinstall the bootloader. EDIT2: Other bootables don't see it either. I think it has something to do with none of the partitions being active, but I can't set them to active in Windows either ;/
  11. Dear all, I've been in the Hackintosh world for a little while, but this quite surprised me. After reinstalling my PC's hardware in a different case, I'm not seeing the OS X drive to start from in Chameleon anymore. This system had been running fine for months. Interestingly enough, the UEFI sees the drive and can start from it, and the bootloader starts as usual. I just don't see the OS X drive to start from, only my Win drives. I've tried changing SATA ports, but there's only two SATA-300 ports in my system I ran this drive off (ITX, 2x S6, 2x S3), and it just doesn't see the drive in Chameleon. Windows shows the drive fine, and I have access to its files. I think my org.chameleon.Boot.plist is fine: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>No</string> <key>IGPEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>01000000</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>No</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(2,1)</string> </dict> </plist> Any help would be greatly appreciated! - Al ASRock Z77E-ITX (2x S3 / 2x S6) 3570K 2TB, 830 Pro 256GB, 840EVO 250GB, Kingston 120GB 16GB DDR3 Ran El Cap fine for months off of 120GB SSD
  12. I think I'm cursed or something.. iDeneb 1.5.7 had a bad download (since every time it checked my DVDs (2) it would error out on the disk verification). iDeneb 1.5.8 Lite doesn't get past the initial Darwin Bootloader, see screenshot: http://i53.tinypic.com/1zdb0p1.jpg I'm off to download another, perhaps working, 1.5.7 package.
  13. Thanks man! I'll look into it and reply here.
  14. Thanks for your reply. I was currently at it to install 10.6.5 from iATKOS but then I found at DVD boot menu the option to start my MacOS X, so I did, at first I got to the Apple logo and a black screen with a black cursor which changed to the multi-colour cursor; the system then didn't do anything anymore, only the moust was movable. After a reset I got to the Apple logo again which then had a gabillion panics displayed. So I'm at it to install iATKOS and if that doesn't work I'll give your method a shot. edit: I was led to believe that iATKOS' version would work with AMD, which it doesn't. Getting Leopard now, first.
