    Lenovo ThinkPad Y580 Notebook

I think he is talking about a beast that isn't allowed here. If you get the 660M card working, please let me know. Also got in on the deal, would love to run OSX on this thing.

    Can't view pictures in OSX

D: Dang. If gets supported,I'll reinstall OSX...until then I'm using Ubuntu/Win7. OSX doesn't show other stuff either,so I'm guessing iMovie won't work(one of the reasons I installed OSX)
  3. I tried to open a few pictures in OSX and all I got was a blank area of where the image should be. I've been searching for an answer, and they all say something about enabling Quartz Extreme. I can't find that anywhere. Could anyone help me with this?

Atheros wifi card can't get an IP

Thanks! That worked! But I tried using unprotected wifi at a shop last night and I got the same error....I'll see if it was a kext. :\
  5. I just updated to 10.6.6 and when I try to connect to my access point,OSX sets a self assigned IP and I can't get online. Using manual IP settings do not help. I am using the same manual IP settings I used while on Windows/Ubuntu,and they worked perfectly. Could someone help? I've been trying countless kexts trying to fix this. This is my only problem on my Hackintosh preventing me from using it. I don't know the model. If someone could tell me how to find it,I'll update this post with the info.

EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/U3rnR.jpg I also tried ModBin kernel..... same/simular panic screen. but Vanilla kernel just gives a blank screen. EDIT2: Booted from an external HDD I found...it takes a bit to get to a GUI,but it boots! Just selected and booted.

Work in Progress: Google (Inventec) Cr-48

Can the CR-48 boot from its SDCard slot? If so,how can I get my OSX DVD onto my SDCard? I don't have a Mac or Hackintosh, but I have Linux and can convert DMGs to IMGs/ISOs. EDIT: IT does. Now could you please explain ? This is my first Hackintosh and I can't seem to find any help via google.
