Sierra 10.12.6 AMD Kernel with System Kext
Not compatible with Ryzen I'm afraid. Wait for Bronya to make Ryzen 10.12.6 kernel.
Tested on 10.12.6 with FX-4300 and all is working well. Will work on FX/APU/Athlon with SSE4.1
SSE4a isn't compatible.
Hey guys. This will help simplify the post install steps when installing Sierra onto an AMD machine. This supports Ryzen, APU, FX and another other AMD CPU that has SSE4.1
Note: The USB drive must be named SierraAMD for the script to work.
Once you've made the USB installer just copy the PostInstall folder to the root of the USB. Once Sierra is installed open up Terminal from the installer and run these commands,
The script will ask for the Volume name you gave the drive when you formatted before installing. Once complete you'll be able to boot into the newly installed Sierra using the boot loader on the USB.
AMD Installer for 10.7.x, 10.8.x, 10.9.x, 10.10.x and 10.11.x
All credits for the kernel goes to the AMD Development team of Andy Vandijck, Bronya, Sinetek and Tora Chi Yo.
Packaged with the latest kernels and some needed kexts. This package makes it easier for AMD users to install the latest kernels and some fixes for their systems.
Just sharing the kexts I used for my onboard ALC662 bundled into an installer for you all.
All credit goes to whoever made these kexts. If it was you let me know.
These were the only ones I could find that worked on ML 10.8.x for my Toshiba Satellite L500 laptop and thought I would share if someone can't get the battery to show.
Also works on 10.7.x
Install with Kext Wizard or similar program and repair permissions
