  1. To anyone with Atheros / Wi-Fi problems; this kext package is the only thing that works for me: http://www10.zippyshare.com/v/90505906/file.html You'll need both! DeviceMergeNub will inject a Wi-Fi country code. Otherwise you won't be able to connect to networks. @Rick Lamers: Which kexts from where did you use exactly? Are the Intel 3000 kexts untouched? Alvast bedankt!
  2. Hi, I'm on 10.8.2 thanks to your instructions, kexts and DSDT patches (to disable the NVIDIA GPU and such), so thank you very much. Now I'm wanting to update to 10.9 Mavericks. Since your stuff apparently works for me, too, I was wondering if everything works okay for you now. @Others: Anyone experience with running 10.9 on this type of laptop? Asus N53SV-SZ404V Intel Core i7 2630QM @ 2 GHz Intel Mobile HM65 Chipset 6 GB DDR3 RAM Intel HD 3000 + NVIDIA GeForce GT540M (only Intel is fine) 750 GB HDD with MBR partition table (important, because of Win8 dual-boot) Atheros Wi-Fi (don't know which model) 1920x1080 Full HD Resolution 10.8.2 works fine, but I'm using a lot of custom drivers (eng_matt's), so I'm hesitating to update. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Flitskikker
  3. Hm, I didn't have that problem. Do you have normal graphics (but on a small resolution) when you remove the Intel graphics driver? I'm using the Chimera 2.0.1 bootloader using the DSDT, smbios.plist and org.chameleon.Boot.plist from this post on my N53SV-SZ404V. All drivers, including Intel graphics drivers and FakeSMC, are from Mac_10.8.2_Asus-N53SN-Drivers.zip from the OP. I had to install Chimera manually using this guide because the regular installer caused a boot0:error.
  4. You will have to remove all graphics drivers manually from single user mode (boot with -s). When in the single user mode prompt, type: fsck -fy mount -uw / mkdir /kext_backup cd /System/Library/Extensions mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* /kext_backup reboot Then you should be able to boot into the GUI. There, install the FakeSMC / MacBookPro8,3 thingy from eng_matt and reinstall the Intel drivers from the Asus drivers zip from the OP using the Kext Utility. After a restart, you should have Intel accelerated graphics. Note: If your Optimus LED is white all the time, you should disable your NVIDIA GPU first. Use eng_matt's DSDT files.
  5. PowerColor Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 8x 512 MB

    *sigh*
  6. PowerColor Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 8x 512 MB

And of course, again no answer yet. How could I guess wrong...
  7. PowerColor Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 8x 512 MB

Hi, I installed iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 today and I would like to have QE/CI enabled. I've been screwing around all day to get it working, but I always ended up without or a blank blue screen (sometimes with black/white distortion). I have a PowerColor Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 8x 512 MB DDR2 with device ID 0x71c7 and 0x71c3 (Secondary). I only get it working using these drivers, but still no QE/CI. ATY,RadeonX1650: Chipsetmodel: ATY,RadeonX1650 Type: Beeldscherm Bus: AGP VRAM (totaal): 512 MB Fabrikant: ATI (0x1002) Apparaatcode: 0x71c7 Revisiecode: 0x009e Versie EFI-besturingsbestand: 01.00.068 Beeldschermen: COMPAQ S710: Resolutie: 1152 x 864 @ 75 Hz Diepte: 32-bits kleur Core Image: Software Hoofdbeeldscherm: Ja Synchrone weergave: Uit Online: Ja Quartz Extreme: Niet ondersteund (= Not supported) As you can see, it displays 71c7, but when I open the kext files from the link above, everywhere 71c6 is displayed. I also tried some different drivers, but these didn't work, but may still exist in my Extensions folder, however, I don't know which ones anymore. By the way, my ATIinject Info.plist contains: <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x00001002&0x0000ffff</string> Isn't that wrong? When I installed this iDeneb a previous time, I got everything working using some other files, but those do now result in a blue screen with distortion. How do I fix this, this time? Thanks so much in advance! Kind regards, Flitskikker
  8. Kernel Panic Error?

How do I do this through Darwin? I can't get in OS X at all.
  9. Kernel Panic Error?

    No-one?
  10. Kernel Panic Error?

When I boot my iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 in verbose mode, I receive the following error: I tried other commands, but no luck.
  11. Recommendation requested

I'm retrying using iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6, but I doesn't work again! Here's a screen of when I booted using -v. On normal boot, it doesn't do anything else than the gray screen with the spinner. It's on for an hour like this. What's wrong??? Kind regards, Flitskikker
