  1. Ha, I suspected this is what was going on. Thanks for confirming I actually changed OS X's time zone to GMT, since my Linux setup also assumes the system clock is set to my time zone.

Ok, the display now works with the boot.zip provided by merklort and Mohamed Khairy ( Post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...2428&st=60# ). That's great, thanks! Now to get wifi and maybe sound Edit: Got Wifi ( http://www.kexts.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=462 ) and Sound ( http://code.google.com/p/voodoohda/downloa...mp;can=2&q= Warning: Quite noisy). I've taken a partition image of this working setup so if anybody needs a guinea pig, I'm available.

I've been trying to get my 1215n working for about 3 days now. Finally got the installer finishing on 10.6.3 retail with a patched NBI build (context: http://code.google.com/p/netbook-installer...ail?id=249#c36) yesterday. Boots fine, not much works but I'm happy. However, after 2-3 boots, the boot process hangs and gets stuck on a grey screen, this even happens in verbose mode. Safe mode works still. One thing I've tried is installing 10.6.5 Combo update, but it will only do a safe boot. Same problem, grey screen. Anybody got any tips? I'm willing to install from scratch, as I've done many times already. Thanks so much for the help, the people working on these tools are amazing, I'm in awe of how well this stuff works! Edit: I thought I should add: It doesn't actually *hang* in the grey screen. The HDD activity light does flicker, especially when input is entered (click, Apple+Space, etc.) I'm wondering if it has booted but is just not displaying anything. Edit again: Confirmed. It's booting, but my display is not working. By spamming the keyboard I've inadvertently renamed a file "lasdfioasdfhaho". This isn't such a bad thing, right? Any suggestions on how to get this working? Thanks!
