  1. DSDT for ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3

Is there a DSDT for the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 board? I see there is one for the regular Gene-Z but not the GEN3. I've done some searching across various forums and couldn't find any DSDT for this board. I'm planning a new build soon and would really like to use this board. Thanks in advance. This is what I plan on using for a new build: Motherboard: Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 (Realtek ALC889, Intel Ethernet) Processor: Core i5 2500k Graphics card: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
  2. Hey Eddy, Thanks for this release, this is my first time trying to install OSx86 on my rig and I wanted to give it a try. I booted up in Darwin with the maxmem=2048 flag since I have 4GB of memory, ran Disk Utility then ran the Leopard install. However for some reason 3 minutes into the install it starts to freeze, I cannot move my cursor or anything. Any ideas? See below: Here's my specs: Motherboard: ABIT AN8 SLi (nForce4 SLi chipset/ALC850 audio) CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000+ Socket939 (SSE2) GPU: XFX GeForce 7600 GT (2x) in SLi Sound Card: Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty - I understand this is not supported and will use the onboard sound instead RAM: Kingston Hyper X DDR400 PC3200 4GB (4x1GB) (Dual Channel) - maxmem=2048 flag HDD: WD Raptor X 10,000RPM SATA 150GB HDD (2x) - Leopard will be installed on it's own hard drive PSU: Zalman ZM-600HP 600W Modular PSU If anyone else would give some advice that would be greatly appreciated edit: I'm using Leo4allv3 by the way. edit #2: Update: I reinstalled Leopard, this time with Eddie's Leo4Allv2 release and it installed perfectly. However when I reach the desktop a dialog comes up saying the AC97 kext is invalid or something like that and the resolution is stuck at 1024x768 with no QE/CI, any ideas? Everything else works perfectly fine. Thanks guys
  3. I've checked the wiki and searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. Does anyone have an FX-60 successfully working with SSE3 on Uphuck 1.4a AMD 10.4.9 or Tubgirl AMD SSE3 TEST1 10.4.10, JaS or any other release? I currently have an AMD Athlon 3000+ SSE2 only and was considering upgrading to an FX-60. Thanks everyone. Here's my configuration if anyone is interested: ABIT AN8 SLi Motherboard (nForce4 SLi chipset) AMD Athlon64 3000+ Socket939 Processor <--want to upgrade to FX-60 XFX GeForce 7600 GT in SLi Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi (will use Realtek ALC850 onboard sound for OS X) Kingston HyperX DDR400 PC3200 4GB (4x1GB) (Dual Channel) Windows XP Professional SP2 Windows Vista Ultimate WD Raptor X SATA 150GB HDD (x3) Zalman ZM-600HP 600W Modular PSU
  4. Hello all I was wondering if I can leave both video cards in (7600GT SLi) and let OS X boot. I understand theres no SLi support on OS X but I would be happy if it just would run on one card without letting me take out the 2nd card out of the motherboard. Is it possible? or do I need to take out the 2nd card everytime I want to get in OS X? Thanks all. Here's my configuration if anyone is interested: ABIT AN8 SLi Motherboard (nForce4 SLi chipset) AMD Athlon64 3000+ Socket939 Processor XFX GeForce 7600 GT in SLi Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi (will use Realtek ALC850 onboard sound for OS X) Kingston HyperX DDR400 PC3200 4GB (4x1GB) (Dual Channel) Windows XP Professional SP2 Windows Vista Ultimate WD Raptor X SATA 150GB HDD (x3) Zalman ZM-600HP 600W Modular PSU
