  1. No WiFi Whitelist on new HP Laptops!

Thanks Micky! Did you check the file or did you tell by my laptop model number?
  2. No WiFi Whitelist on new HP Laptops!

I have a dv6 6b55eg. I want to replace my BCM4313, with a supported one. Now I want to figure out, if I also have no whitelist. So I tried to open the http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60655.exe (F.1C) but the phoenixtool says "Not Phoenix/Dell/Insyde/EFI BIOS." Can someone please help me with that? Or tell me if sp60655.exe has a whitelist or not. Thank you for every help

  4. Broadcom bcm43xx wireless driver [beta]

Hello LatinMcG, I have a HP Pavilion DV6 with a Broadcom 4313, and I want to get a new wireless card. I have a mini usb wlan stick, the chipset is RTL8192CU, it works but just with the Wireless Utitlity from Realtek. Why won't it work with AirPort? Can I do something, that it works with AirPort? If not, can you advice me a one good card with bluetooth and one without bluetooth? And will it be hard for me to remove the Whitelist from my Bios? I have Insyde Bios Version F.1B, the new one is F.1C http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/previousVersions?softwareitem=ob-115758-1&cc=us&destPage=siteHome&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4132&product=5188451&query=hp%20dv6%206b55er&sw_lang=&tool=
  5. UPDATE: USB 3.0 for all DV6 + DV7 (Renesas) WORKING! Works perfect on my HP Pavilion DV6 - ML 10.8.3 http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3745 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286860-genericusbxhci-usb-30-driver-for-os-x-with-source/
  6. Hello and Happy Easter to all And especially for you Zenith432 a big thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.3 on my HP Pavilion DV6 Notebook and my two USB 3.0 (Renesas) Slots are now working. It tested my USB Mouse and my USB 2.0 HDD, both are working perfectly. I have just two questions: 1. My sleep worked fine with the sleepenabler.kext, but now it doesn't work properly. The sleep works like usual, but when I try to wake it up the screen remains black, I also tried darkwake=0, but it didn't help. Is this a problem with the kext or maybe my DSDT? Here is my DSDT:DSDT.aml.zip 2. I have a USB Headset. The microphone and the headphones are working perfectly on the USB 2.0 slots. When I plug it in one of the two USB 3.0 slots, the system recognizes the microphone and the Headphones but they won't work. Is this a feature that is hard to add to your kext? Again a big thank you
  7. Hello DarkRenegade and Happy Easter to all Nice to hear that it works This will work for most all DV6 and DV7. Tell everybody!
  8. Cao. I have a HP Pavilion DV6 and my two USB 3.0 Slots (Renesas) are now working -> http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3745 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286860-genericusbxhci-usb-30-driver-for-os-x-with-source/ If you already know it, then I'm sorry
  9. Hello everybody. I have a HP Pavilion DV6-6B55SG and it has two Graphics. A integrated Intel HD 3000 and a AMD Raedon 6770M. I'm running Mountain Lion and it only uses the Intel HD 3000. It looks like this: http://www7.pic-uplo...q3nc79j8fi2.png So I read a lot of threads about it, and every thread ended like "there is no solution, until you can disable your onboard graphics". Well, I figured out how to disable it and this might be interesting for all HP owners. When you reboot press F10 and when it says Bootmenu is loading press a. Then you will see the advanced boot menu. My Bios vendor is Insyde and the version is F.19. The settings look like this: http://www10.pic-upl...o3n1m73fwpb.jpg http://www7.pic-uplo...rii1ix2a6rl.jpg http://www10.pic-upl...snsz4fs29gi.jpg http://www7.pic-uplo...zbipvxmq2vr.jpg But when i put "Internal Graphics Device" (Link 3) from Auto to Disable, and then restart I will get a blackscreen and have to do a hard Bios reset, by taking out the RTC Battery Does anyone know, which settings I need to change? For example Primary Display. It's on SG (Switchable Graphics), but can be put on PEG, PCI, Auto. Or is there any other solution for this problem? Thank you for every help. *My bootloader is Chimera 1.11.1 (svn-r1394). bdmesg says this: ATI Framebuffer Addr: @0xA0000000 MMIO Addr: @0xC6500000 I/O Port Addr: @0x00005000 ROM Addr: @0xFFFE0000 ATI card POSTed, reading Video BIOS from legacy space Card reported ports: 0 Framebuffer set to: using device's default. 12. [HOW TO] Advanced EDID Injection

Hello. I have a HP Pavilion DV6 with switchable Graphics. One onboard Intel HD 3000 and one extern ATI Raedon 6770M. I cannot turn off the Intel HD 3000 in the BIOS, so Mountain Lion will only use the Intel, although it recognizes the ATI: Do you think I can "tell" my Screen, which Graphiccard it should use by changing something in the EDID? I hope you have any ideas and can help me. Thank you
