hey man, got the same board and trying to get it going as a home media/backup server. everything works fine besides the networking. I think I have a similar problem as your's. I can see other macs on the network, but can't copy or access any files. did you find a fix? I'm using the nforceLAN 0.64.6 driver from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=125569 any ideas? btw. audio works fine in general with vodoo drivers on my end (haven't tried hdmi sound though... however it shows up as an option in system settings / sound output. greetz, d.
Hi, Sorry, I cannot really help, but I was considering getting the same board for similar home server use. I thought I might add another PCI controller for a 4x1500GB RAID 5. Please let me know if you got it working after all. Thanx, D. Btw, just found this looking around here: apparently there is a driver for the RTL8111E in development, beta w/ installer is available. check this: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html
Hey guys, I was looking for hardware for a home server solution just like you described. What did you guys get in the end? I was considering a ITX Motherboard with Intel NM10 Chipset / Atom D525 CPU and maybe an extra PCI card for a RAID 5. However I have no idea if that would work and I couldn't really find success stories with a NM10 / Atom D525 board. Thanx for any advice. greetz, d.
