  1. Lenovo IdeaPad z360 (optimus)

Some lenovo laptops, like thinkpads has graphics settings in BIOS to choose VGA, you might want to check it first.
  2. ASUS N56VM / N56VZ / N76VZ Hackintoshable?

For ASUS N46, N56, N76... I've installed and quite easy to have Ivy Bridge (Intel HD 4000) working full QE/CI. However, for now.. nVidia and wifi has not working yet. But if you want to buy a new laptop, probably try take a look for new S46, S76 series or ZenBook U500, almost equal specs but with Ultrabook advantages.
  3. Please help, I am installing OS X Mountain Lion on Ivy bridge + nVidia laptop natively supported, GraphicsEnabler=Yes "Graphics Mode"="1366x768x32" in Chameleon. I get display blank/black screen, because when loading nvidia it switch to default 1280x1024 pixel to my 1366x768 laptop, That probably the reason that I get black screen on the display. Is there any way to set default resolution, when Chameleon "Graphics Mode" has failed?
  4. No acceleration on nVidia GT650m on Mountain Lion 10.8

Some new update, might use full, it seem not the NV* kexts that cause the freezing, the only kext that has trouble is GeForce.kext Freeze on GraphicsEnabler=No, blank or black screen with GraphicsEnabler=Yes, nVidia ROM patching failed in Chameleon. Any way, I managed to take some screenshots while in black screen, it seem both Intel HD 4000 and nVidia 6xx graphics suppoted natively by ML and should be OOTB. For me it showed: GeForce GT 630M, VRAM 1Mb, (no display attached) Intel HD Graphics 4000 Mobile, VRAM 0Mb, (no display attached) Both cards are reconigzed well but no display attached, usually by default the display attach on Intel with 64MB VRAM.
  5. No acceleration on nVidia GT650m on Mountain Lion 10.8

Have you try to remove NV* kexts.. It is those kext that cause the freeze.. For Intel HD 4000 support natively, I only add device-properties hex string line in boot.plist only to got Full QE?CI support My nVidia GT 630m not working however, it is impossible to get dual VGA in OS X ML?
  6. GMA X4500

I don't know if it is the same problem but It might works... I've got it once exact situation that the mouse pointer stuck at left top corner while i tried some modified kext of X3100.. Try to replacing your X3100 kext. if you want to patch the original manually follow this: NOTE: You'll require the original X3100 kexts for this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=173338 Else your can try, these modified kexts, just install (drag the kexts) to Kext Utility icon: http://www.kexts.com/view/258-gmax4500.html Hope this work for you...
  7. After repeated install and reinstall of snow leopard on my laptop Toshiba L310. I found this might help other with similar problem. If you got KP on -v boot with line like this: IOFireWireFamily .. unable to get memory. On PC you could disable FireWire on BIOS, but on Laptop with limited BIOS setting some might unable to do this. Here some work around solution: If you use distros like iatkos s3 v2, or others perhaps: Select mach_pcj kernel -> Boot with this flag "mach_pcj" (without quotes). PS: You will able to install smoothly, but you might get late Mouse and Keyboard response first time when booting. You'll have to wait 3-5 minutes to type keyboard or to get a mouse click. Solution: remove or disable IOFireWireFamily.kext (don't forget rebuild Extensions.mkext too and reboot) For retail DVD: You don't have mach_pcj so to boot you'll have to edit your installation file (dvd) too add mach_pcj kernel (replace it with the default mach_kernel) or disable the IOFireWireFamily.kext. If this too hard for you, you might consider to use distros DVD like above. You not really have to use mach_pcj kernel, it just help to stay alive (no KP) not like other kernels. If you prefer other kernel, just dont forget to get that FireWire kext disabled. Hope this help others...
  8. GMA 4500 driver for Snow Leopard

Kenia1234: You might like.. Not real solution of course.. just some thing to better viewing only original Macbook Pro color profile "ColorLCD" ( i dont know why i dont have this on my OSX ): http://www.mediafire.com/?z51ipn9x2omrqdk transparent bar app (forgot where I found it), so i upload it also.. It make the top menu bar transparent (we would have it transparent if qe/ci enabled) : http://www.mediafire.com/?lxjpzapdmtxixq0 --> You can make this always start at reboot with System Preferences->Accounts->Login Items.. the bar opacity can be set too.
  9. gma4500 resolution and 512 mb MEMORY

For me: Got no difference nor grapich improvements on the grapich perfomances, only the mouse pointer keep hanging on top left screen.. System profiles shows it has 512MB VRAM.. but no difference at all compared with previous with 144MB pathced X3100 kext. PS: It's not like when I used Deviato's method with 64MB which a little laggy.. I got better response when upgraded with those patched 144MB kexts.., only the screen got a little brighter and red.. which later can be fix in System Preference -> Display -> Colors I'm also have a color profile called "ColorLCD" from a Macbook Pro that gives different feels of colour.. in case you want to try: http://www.mediafire.com/?z51ipn9x2omrqdk
  10. GMA 4500 driver for Snow Leopard

Sorry dude, There were some projects held but all of them are dead with no solution for this Grapich Card.. 15. GMA 4500 driver for Snow Leopard

Here you go... (sorry been late... ) Manually patch with bash script: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=173338 Modified Kext: http://www.kexts.com/view/258-gmax4500.html Select one from above, both are the same method and give same results. PS: After installed you might notice the color gamma change little brighter and red.. I think that default display color profiles apple made for x3100. You can change it with System Preferences too (Color tab).
