  1. Dude jus a bit of prob AMD systems can only accept Voodoo kernal and not Vanilla so i recommend u use Voodoo kernal and the panic u r getting is becuz of tht u can download some other distro which works and install Voodoo kernal instead of Vanila
  2. boot1 error

    Dude u r suppose to select Mac OS X HFS+ Journaled not case sensative to most who have installed with this format have this problem Actually this format of Apple is very unstable and can only be used to proper Macs reinstall the system with SATA controllers if u get any and thn try
  3. Atheros AR5007 working but not perfect. Heres the guide.

    Nice work dude just for you know that I am soon going to create a video tutorial showing how to fix this.. That will be for all of you who arent able to do this... Currently running Benq Joybook Lite U101b Intel Atom 1.6Ghz, Iatkos 10.5.5, Intel GMA950, Atheros AR5007EG, 160GB HDD
  4. Mac OS X 10.5.5 Kalyway COMBO UPDATE

    Success Installing 10.5.5 originall update from Apple all you have to do is go to terminal and type sudo su - and then type "while sleep 1 ; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext ; done" without quotes keep the window open and start the update once its done close the terminal windows and then restart worked perfectly on my net book...
  5. Kalyway 10.5.6->10.5.8

    ok dude even i hav the same problem but i m stuck at 10.5.5 now i need your help to get to 10.5.6 and after that i maybe able to help you since i also want a fully upgraded mac
  6. kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.8

    Thats almost impossible Combo Update given by Apple to 10.5.8 will RUIN everything trust me I have tried it. Kernel Panic is the least of ur worries since when you will run the update it will recognise that your Mac is not actually a MAC and then even if it installs all the kernals that you are using will get outdated and it will stop running. I think that the only way to do this is Install 10.5.3 Combo update with Kalyway Kernals and then 10.5.4 Delta Release from Apple which will be worryless and then comes 10.5.5 which may give you some problem so all you have to do is find a good and best worked tutorial on how to update to 10.5.5 and then 10.5.6 will be easy next will come 10.5.7 where things will be a lot easeir and update to 10.5.8 thts all Enjoy Have fun
  7. SAM Read/Write Error

    OK wht i have noticed is that Sam Multimedia Read or Write Error occurs due to your Hard disk in this case we have two methods(1 s not tried but the other is full proof) 1st Method(not tried) Use the command "-s" at the boot option by pressing F8 and at the root type "mount -uw /" (without quotes) and then try "fsck -fy" or something like that it will be given there it checks the HDD for errors and corrects them. then type "exit" and it should log in Incase this method doesnt work there is another one which requires a little basic Hardware knowledge but anyone can do it. Method 2(full proof) Things that you might need: An external HDD casing A little knowledge and another computer which works with the DVD(remember it has no burning issues its only with ur HDD) Now if you are using another system then Hold your laptop up side down and take out the hard drive of your computer Using an external HD casing connect it to another computer which can boot that CD but before you do this make sure that you know all the drivers of your computer Now once the CD has booted go to disk utility which will show you the laptops HDD and urs select urs and format one of it partitions or the whole HDD Format it in Journaled partition and now quit the Disk Utility Ur hard drive will now appear in the Destination section. select, NeXt and Customize. Now unselect all the selected drivers and in the kernels folder select Vanilla only uncheck all others if AMD select Voodoo kernel (depends if u hav intel or AMD) ok once unchecked all the drivers go to each extension and search for the drivers of tour computer. Check as u search for them Uncheck all mobo stuff if using Kalyway and in the Patches selct Power management fix and Time machine and usb fix too once Done go ahead with the install once the installation finishes it will ask for reboot reboot but as soon as it shuts down remove ur HDD ( This wont affect the other PC you are using it will boot into Windows the next time) Once done take your HDD out of the casing and connect it to your PC. and power on VOLA!! u have Mac running u can do the same process after taking your HDD out on ur computer too it might boot then n then a straight install. Also tht if u dont want to use the internal HDD n dont want to take it out thn do the process and boot from ur external HDD instead of ur internal and it will boot into Mac Os X In cases u might need to have a Dual boot with Mac OS and windows 7 to boot the thing if it gives you a HFS+ partition error that is.. then you can follow a guide to having Windows 7 back up n running and use EasyBCD to boot Mac OS X Well that all i guess cya guys Have fun using mac oS X
