  1. Einstein

Could someone possibly port the Newton emulator Einstein to the iPhone? That would be the best possible app ever! There are so many good apps for it, and plus the irony and nostalgia!
  2. Einstein

Would anybody be interested in getting the OpenEinstein to work on the iPhone? I mean, there's already a version for ARM-Linux and I would guess OS X mobile is based on Darwin ported to ARM (Darwin is in the same family of OSes as linux). Plus the Zaurus they used for it is like 200 mhz and the Iphone is about 620 mhz. On top of that how could would Newton OS on the iPhone be? Thanks Kevin P.S. Does anyone know where to get a Newton ROM? I don't have the cables to dump my ROM.
  3. A NeXTstation Turbo Color and a NeXTstation Color. I wanna PowerCD really really bad! Does anyone have one they might be interested in selling?
  4. OpenEinstein

Does anyone know where to get a Newton ROM, I do own a newton but it doesn't work so I can't dump the ROM from it. If anyone knows where to get one I would greatly appreciated it! I have a MessagePad 2100 and an eMate 300 so a ROM from either will do (neither work). I bought them on eBay thinking I could fix them but I can't Thanks! Kevin

  6. Are there any programs for making floppies for Rhapsody/OPENSTEP? Do they even use the same file system? If there is, could you please tell me how to use it? (I need to transfer some files and drivers) Thanks Kevin
  7. Lisa Emulator

Sorry for the double post but this really has nothing to do with the last post. Alright so I was wondering if it was possible to like modify Linux and the Lisa Em program to where all that linux does is boot up and run the program so it looks like you're running it natively? If this was possible you could buy the shell of the Lisa and put a regular computer inside of it and like have you're own somewhat authentic Lisa!
  8. Lisa Emulator

No No No The reason i made this is because it contains all the files you need. And you CANNOT get them all from sunder.net! Could someone post some feedback on how its working though? EDIT: actually, mfberstein, i was talking about the emulator itself BUT thanks for pointing that out about the other files
  9. Lisa Emulator

First off I just wanted to say that the Lisa Emulator has been released! (actually it has been for awhile!) Now I know that you're about to go Google it but before you do I have a gift for you! I have set up a ZIP file that all you have to do is extract it to your Desktop (this will only work for Windows I dont have a working Mac unfortunately) You can get that file here! I have done this because the emulator is kind of confusing to use and I wanted everyone to be able to experience Lisa without giving up as I almost did! Let me know how it works Kevin
  10. Rhapsody on Pepper Pad 3

Perhaps, I never thought of remote loading. But could you posssible mount the ISO and .img files? Or there's always external drives which it should be compatible with since the pp3 runs linux. Oh well i'll upload some pics as soon as I get anything. Thanks!
  11. I was just wondering if it was possible to run rhapsody or nextstep/openstep for intel on the pepper pad 3. the pp3 is a x86 based handheld that runs linux. If anybody has one test it. The only problem is the lack of a cd or floppy drive and drivers and stuff. Also does anybody know if ther was a Mac OS X server 1.x for intel? Thanks
  12. Betas

Uh...Hello? Rhapsody was the first version of OS X! (sorta) Also if you don't really like Apple and OS X is only somewhat good then explain your icon to me. Oh and by the way thanks AriX.
  13. Betas

Ok I have just have a few questions: What's the best version of Rhapsody to use that's actually Rhapsody and not Mac OS Server 1.x? Where can I obtain this version i.e. download it? Was there ever a Copland Developer Release and If so where can I get it? What software can run on Rhapsody? Do PPC Rhapsody Apps work on Rhapsody for Intel? Do DR1 apps work on DR2? Sorry If I appear to be extremely naive its just I can't find this anywhere. If you have anything else relating to Apple Beta OSes please post them!!
