1. Nvidia Geforce 9300GE - Solved!

For anyone who needs the KEXT file, here it is. I got it working on 10.8, but never bothered with the patches after that. As of 10.8.4 Apple updated the drivers, so this might not work for that patch or any future versions.
2. Well, got this fixed. Hopefully this helps someone else, but I think the cause of this issue was due to the fact that I'm injecting my graphics card information in my Chameleon boot.plist. Anyways, to fix this, I inserted the following code in Device PCI0 after Method _S3D and it fixed it up. Note that you have to do the DTGP patch to your DSDT for this to work. OperationRegion (GPIO, SystemIO, 0x0800, 0x06) Field (GPIO, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve) { GO01, 8, GO02, 8, GO03, 8, GO04, 8, GO05, 8, GP45, 1, GP9, 1 } Device (LAN0) { Name (_ADR, 0x00190000) Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) { 0x09, 0x04 }) Method (EWOL, 1, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (Arg0, One)) { Or (GP9, One, GP9) } Else { And (GP9, Zero, GP9) } If (LEqual (Arg0, GP9)) { Return (Zero) } Else { Return (One) } } Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0A) { "AAPL,slot-name", Buffer (0x09) { "Internal" }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x01 }, "device_type", Buffer (0x14) { "Ethernet Controller" }, "model", Buffer (0x1E) { "Intel(R) 82579V PCI-E Gigabit" }, "name", Buffer (0x14) { "Ethernet Controller" } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) }
3. Hi all, So I have not been able to connect to the app store, as I keep getting the "an unknown error has occurred" whenever I try logging in. If I try and create a new account, it just shows the loading symbol but never does anything. So for the past few days I've been googling and trying to understand what causes the error and have tried numerous fixes. I have a valid serial number and my SMBIOS is good. I've tried EFI injection for the ethernet as well as the EthernetBuiltIn flag for chameleon's boot. I upgraded to the latest version of Chameleon and deleted all my network interfaces and the network configuration plist multiple times. After further reading from this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284684-icloudfacetimeappstore-login-errors/ I determined that the false flag kept on showing up in the IOBuiltIn Flag and when trying to override the NetworkInterface.plist as described in the aforementioned post, it would still revert upon reboot. So, my last possible fix is to do a DSDT injection and I'm totally lost when it comes to that. I've attached my unedited DSDT file from DSDT editor (I think it has some errors) for reference as well as what my NetworkInterface.plist looks like. If anyone can point me in the right direction or assist me with this, I'd appreciate it. As for system specs, I have a Dell Optiplex 760 with Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, 4GB of RAM, GeForce 9300 GE. Not sure what else is needed, so let me know if I need to provide some more info. Edit: Apparently somehow my attached files never showed up. Additionally, I've added a screenshot from IOreg. Can't seem to figure out how to find the key in IOReg to locate the ethernet controller in DSDT. DSDT.zip Screenshot-IOReg.zip NetworkInterfaces.plist.zip
4. Thanks for the guide Pepto. I was using this for my Optiplex 760 and I ran into the same issue as polyzargone regarding the essential system software and it relates to the OS install files you have in your package. Updated files are available at http://www.osx86.net...o=file&id=2902. Explanation and credits for helping me figure this out goes to the folks in this topic: http://www.insanelym...rces-not-found/ I also ran into an issue with the chameleon bootloader giving me the boot0 error. The newer version should fix this. I ended up using the myhack method to do the install, but am currently running into issues with my GeForce 9300 GE. If anybody else has had issues with this card and has some fixes or a link to a guide that could help me with this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks again! Edit: Update to let you guys know I got the GeForce 900 up and running. Only issue I'm running into now is getting the app store working. When I try to log in it gives me an unknown error has occurred or if I click create new account it just shows the loading icon but never does anything. I have an SMBios with a good serial number and I've done the EFI string for the network adapters (and also trying built in LAN) in the Boot.plist and deleting everything and the network.plist. Anyone have any ideas to assist in this?
5. Thanks for all the info. The system is stable and is up and running in Windows 7 with no issues. As for the graphics card, I don't have another option at this moment, so kind've bummed out since I'm assuming I'll have to wait until there's another update before I can get it installed. I'll get a newer disc as well when I give it a retry. Thanks for all the help.
6. Thanks for the info. I saw all the additional information by maleorderbride, but that's after I finally get it installed, right? As for the drive, it's a SATA drive so that might not be the issue.
7. Hi guys, been reading up on this and am still quite new, however I seem to keep running into the same problem when trying to install. Let me start with the specs: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (Rev. 2.0 updated to BIOS version FB) i7-950 6gb of RAM running at 1600Mhz Nvidia GTX 460 I've tried the ##### methods with both the supported iso as well as the nvidia iso. I've also attempted to use ##### and the kakewalk legacy boot disks from the hackfinal.rar file somewhere in this forum topic. Trying to use the -x loader for safe mode also fails. Here is the error I keep getting: "kernel panic: Unable to find driver for ]"ACPI\".\m Attached are some pics. I don't have access to a Mac so if I need to use a different loader, I'd appreciate it if someone could send me or link me to a file I could burn from a windows machine. Also, is there a method to use a bootloader to install from a USB stick? Thanks in advance.
