  1. Clevo w870cu weird monitor issue

I'm a bit newbie, do you have any free HDD for making a new install, just for trying?
  2. Thank you reply, system do boot form hdd... Maybe I did express wrong myself? Also I think this topic goes to post installations. Is it normal that r9 290x should have 2 monitors connectein order to get video signal?
  3. Hello everyone, First of all sorry for my bad English, it's no my native language. I've installed 10.11.0 OSX, and updated to 10.11.1, it works, somehow with some issues. I've used USB installer (USB3 thumb drive) with inject ATI option enabled. UEFI install. My system: Asus Maximus Ranger VII - i7 4790K at 4.6 ghz, 1.201V RAM 4x4GB 2400Mhz GSkill Sniper XFX R9 290X EDFD (double fan) HDD WD 320gb sata 2 First I wasn't able to get to installer screen, and was because I was using a USB2 port that was disabled after bootloader start osx, usb3 back port worked. Second thing was that I didn't get video signal in any of my ports. However it do give video when I plugged DVI port and HDMI port. The active port is the HDMI, when I disconnect DVI (the one that's down) I lose video.Once I had video, install was easy and smooth. Post installation was a bit hard, Clover wasn't booting from HDD, so I had to copy the EFI from the USB and paste in the EFI of the hdd, Now it works. What is rare, is that when the installer was "installing" I left pc alone for a long time and it go deepsleep. I pressed a key and it waked perfectly. Now inside OSX after install I can't get video after reasume... that's one of my problems. And many of my USB ports doesn't work.. I'm reading about it. Now I'm about to research for fixing those issues. I think I'll have to patch DSDT, never done that so I'll have to make lots of tries. I'll post when I make it run better. PS: if anyone have a system similar to mine motherboard and graphics mostly, please feel free to advice me. Thank all for reading!

  6. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Hello ShareRiff, I'm off the hackintosh world nowadays... but it seems to me that you have problem making your bios boot from USB, in my ASUS you press ESC and it appears a a boot dialog that ask you where from to boot... Sorry for my bad english... I don't use it much. By the way I have a problem myself... I was using Lion 10.7.2 happily and tried to update to to 10.7.3 and don't know why my netbook doesn't boot Lion normally ... Here is what it does: When I try to boot normally, it enters to the OS and the login screen is shown and mouse works perfect...but... and there's always a but, users names can't be clicked, so I can't enter... I try to enter in SAFE mode... and thanks to some mighty one it shows the users in the login... but no QI/CE.... And now the question? how can I solve this problem!!!????? any ideas??... Thank you all in advance to all who read this .... EDIT.: my atheros wifi that was working with 10.7.2, now isn't recognized........
  7. Asus 1201N Installation and support

sure you have the latest bios? There no AHCI in the last bios for Asus 1201N.... In AMD systems some motherboard only boots in IDE mode...
  8. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Cham 1649; Kernel from nawcom, but his site is offline (kernel of the guide should work any way).. I fix it once overwriting the boot file of one chame ver. with a newest one, from Windows
  9. Asus 1201N Installation and support

From fresh install, install kexts, rebuild repair. (I use kext wizard) 1) update chameleon.. 2) Update to 10.7.1 (software update)... 3) Change the atom kernel to latest... 4) reinstall kexts-- rebuild repair. 5) Reboot 6) Install combo update 10.7.2 client... 7) Install kexts again.... 8) Rebuild repair 9) Reboot Now you can DO the "delete the extra folder method" and use kernel cache... PS: This is what I've done... and it's working. ( was working with 2 gb, and is working with 4 Gb... ) Good Luck
  10. Asus 1201N Installation and support

  11. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Check with other source... maybe is the Lion image that you have...Can't think more right now... Good Luck!
  12. Asus 1201N Installation and support

So, you've deleted the usekernelcache, restored the Extra folder (that I have to save before going to the cache configuration) and still have the same problem?... did you reinstall? maybe some other file got damaged... (should reinstall),... and what about kernel log?... Good Luck!
  13. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I know I've already answer this but... did you try disabling all the Windows the aids that disengage a key when it's stuck for example and say if this behavior repeats? I'm using the kext from the guide,.../ if you are using cache I would revert to e/e folder and boot ignoring cache... reinstall kext to e/e and s/l/e, rebuild and repair... / and see from there... also you can post the kernel log or booting log (or witch ever name it has ) that's created when booting in verbose... Ps: Good Luck!
