  1. Well, at the end I solved the problem by installing 10.13.1 again from the beginning, but this time after clearing partitions, and not anymore an "update on the fly". Unfortunately... with upgrades, it's always a lottery... it may go well or not. Lesson learnt That problem was too tricky to be solved.
  2. Thanks fantomas, very useful info.. I generated a bootlog.txt file from Clover configurator... but I can't seem to find what I was looking for... the KP messages I wanted, maybe it saves just the last "good" boot
  3. Hi fantomas, thanks for your reply but... I have never used lilu.kext I have even tried to reboot without any kext other than fakesmc.kext but still nothing............... I don't know what to do anymore. Can you point me to how can I recover a boot log file to see the KP stuck messages and what happens? They are scrolling so fast that I can't even make a photo! I have access to the MAC partition from a dual boot Windows installation.
  4. Yesterday I tried a direct update from 10.13 to 10.13.1, everything was fine after installation, but at the first reboot, I was stuck in boot loop. To solve I have tried to update Clover to latest release, which was a few hours ago - Nothing. I have tried various different fakesmc kext versions - Nothing. Deleted custom DSDT.aml from ACPI clover folder - Nothing. Deleted extra kexts in "other" folder - Nothing. Disabled NVIDIA driver - Nothing. Used utility to clear NVRAM, cache, fix permissions, etc... - Nothing. What is really strange, I noticed that if I first boot from recovery partition, and then I select my macos 10.13.1 startup disk, when I try to boot again normally, it goes all fine! If i then reboot again from HS, it is and will be stuck again! So to access my 10.13.1 system I have again to boot first into the recovery partition, and then reboot again. Anyone have a clue? It seems that when you boot from recovery partition, it does some operation over files/cache or something else... that will allow me to boot normally, but only for one time. What should I do to isolate the problem? Please help me.
  5. Well, I repaired permissions and rebuilt cache, then reboot, and my problem was fixed. No more "update required" popup message, and CUDA preferences panel is now OK.
  6. Hello, I upgraded to Nvidia web driver 378. successfully, but now in CUDA preferences panel i see "update required" ! I have the latest 9.0.214 for HS... I tried to download it again and reinstall, but same result ! Is that normal ? I thought that latest CUDA for 10.13 fixed this problem... do I have to apply again the patch in post #100 ? ---> http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302795-cuda-90214-is-out-update-10162017/?p=2503580
  7. Hello, in HS I tried the direct update to 378. from the nvidia driver manager panel, but during the installation a warning message pops up "NVida Web Driver installer has encountered a problem" is it okay to continue the installation? Or will I have a driver installed half-way and then a fix is needed? Thanks.
  8. Thanks chunnann, AR9485 tested and working here on HS!
  9. Thanks fabiosun, you're great !

Please can you help me? Thanks.
  11. Unfortunately I have to go back to Sierra because now I can't use my laptop without wifi on board ................ When there will be good news by this side... I will upgrade to HS again......
  12. Well... after reading all your comments here i am now quite scared to attempt an install of these new nvidia web drivers.... I dont want to risk to finish in a black loop, and install HS over and over again . My doubts are... do I really need to install lilu, NVWebDriverLibValFix and run the AGDPFix before reboot ? In which cases should I install all those fixes? When i was with last Sierra release, I never installed any fix.... I just applied nv_disable=1 in Clover config...
  13. Hello, I don't understand this step............ If I have installed already 10.13, isn't this "AppleGraphicsControl.kext" already loaded ? If not, where do I get it ? Thanks
  14. but it says still for 10.12 ... have you tried to install these drivers in High Sierra?
