  1. Multi Monitors on Yosemite

    To get 290x with dual monitors / multi monitors (works with 3 for me) boot with one monitor, put computer to sleep, then plug in 2nd monitor (or 2nd and 3rd), then wake the computer, profit. I have a 290x on Yosemite using Clover with an x79 board. I found this out after hours of troubleshooting. The only thing I changed in the config.plist was to use Hawaii framebuffer, and if you have a problem with dual monitors then you probably don't have to worry about this since I have the same problem as everyone else. Tonight I will experiment with a script to put the computer to sleep at bootup to see if having 3 monitors connected will work after sleep and wake, or if OS X has to boot with only one monitor. This answer will come soon since I am on my way home now. The script was from the old 7970 days when a sleep trick was the fix for that. I will post the source for this and instructions on my next post.

  5. Fix for Firewire and HPET IRQ conflict using DSDT

    Anyone know how to get firewire working on an EVGA SR-2? I get the unable to list firewire devices. I have tried most methods on this page. I have also tried on both 10.8.5 and 10.9.2 with the same result.

    Who has gotten this working in Mavericks and how did you do it? Did you take the source and port to Mavericks? Did you use the kext posted for Lion? I tried the Lion kext and I do not have any audio. I am on 10.9.2 using a cmi8738 card. Thanks.

    Does anyone know if either the kext from dogbert or shagui work on Mavericks? I will be buying one of the cards soon and I guess I will let people know if it still works. Maybe I can get shagui to compile it for Mavericks for perhaps a little compensation if it doesn't already work. Maybe dogbert is up for it too. I know these are aging cards now, but I think it is still a slightly better or more elegant solution than usb audio. Thanks.
  8. Thoughts about Mavericks with Atom (yes, Atom)

    Coool, I have a ZOTAC MAG HD-ND01 with an aton 330, ion graphics, and 4GB ram with graphics memory set to 512MB. I installed Mavericks on an SSD from my normal desktop that was already running mavericks, then did an ##### install on it and put it in my ZOTAC. I could not get it to boot on the ZOTAC until I used atom_kernel.zip from theconnactic on post # 16, page 1 of this thread. I don't have many boot flags, but I do have a device properties string in org.chameleon.boot.plist generated from OSX86Tools, but other methods work as well to get this string (ion = nvidia 9400 as far as I can tell). I will try 10.9.1 with this kernel. I do think the mach_kernel is changing in 10.9.2 since it is the new one with full unified MacPro6,1 support. Also, audio works with the non-DSDT legacy ALC888 audio kexts from #####. I had to open the case and check the writing on the actual audio chip, but it was ok since I had to swap out wifi cards anyway. I installed a BCM943225HMB wireless N / BT 3.0 card that works with Toleda's kext called toledaARPT.kext. Let me know if you have any other questions. Also, I do not see a point in having a DSDT with this system since the atom 330 does not support powermanagement such as speedstep and turbo anyway and everything else seems to work without it, although I have not tested everything such as audio over HDMI or spdif audio, but I do not use them. Ethernet works OOB which is nice for app store and the other apple services. This is a nice low power system I use mostly for overnight or 24/7 downloads and such.

    theconnactic's atom_kernel works great for 10.9. Has anyone updated to 10.9.1 and are still using this kernel? I want to know before I try. Also, 10.9.2 beta is out for developers. Anyone try that with this kernel? Do we need a new kernel for 10.9.x updates? Thanks.

    Where are the kexts for CI only for 10.9? There is still only 10.8.5 as an option while the kexts for QE/CI are available for 10.8.5 and 10.9.

    I am running 10.8.5 flawlessly on a ZOTAC MAG HD-ND01 with an aton 330 and ion graphics. I tried installing 10.9 GM and I used Chameleon 2.2 svn r2266. I get the same result as the first poster. Let us know when 10.9 works on atom.
  13. I need help. I have the Asus PCE-AC66 and when I first installed into my hackintosh x79 system, it was reported as Card Type: Third-Party Wireless Card. I did the fix above hoping it would fix the limited channels supported which is only from channel 1 to 11, but it did not. I still only get channels 1-11 as seen from the terminal comand.     Thank you for your efforts. But for those of us who have something like PCH_LVDS: 0x40000000 (disabled, pipe B, 18 bit, 1 channel), is there hope of QE/CI? Thank you again for your hard work.
