  1. Kakewalk 4.0 Released!

This is awesome! I'm really excited to see this great solution, can't wait to upgrade my EP45 UD3P snow leopard to LION. Quick question, is the nVidia 9800 GTX supported? cause i only see the 9800 GT. Thanks again!! awesome work!
  2. New Chameleon Announced!

Wow this is truly exquisite! I definitely look forward to it as I've got several Operating systems and my boot change method is to use the bootloader from the BIOS since I dedicated OS to their own hard drives. This will be great!
  3. RELEASE 10.5.5

Well I'm just waiting on the instructions on how to update my HackPro, its running using the latest install from iDeneb 10.5.4, Installed 10.5.5 on my macpro at work and it installed flawlessly. I wonder where I'd go to check the changes.
  4. R.I.P Prawker

Rest in peace dear Prawker! may you watch us from the heavens. we pray for you, for you are in a much better place than the mortality of this world.
  5. Hi Guys, I really appreciate that work is being done to standardize and gather information for all the dedicated hackintosh users. I've learned and gained a lot of information and knowledge from this forum and since a long-time ago. Here is my information along with the Kexts that I used to get my system running. Currently running the latest 10.5.4, started the install with the Kalyway 10.5.1 then applied the subsquent patches to upgrade to the current version. The specs are in my signature but I'll put them up again: M/B: Asus P5W DH Deluxe CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.6GHz MEM: 8GB DDR2 Corsair PC6400 DIMMs VDO: Ati Radeon X1950 XT 256MB DDR3 (needs a patch - provided by jccool) AUD: Realtek ALC882M (kexts provided by rammjet) BLU: Generic USB Bluetooth (works out of the box) The only items that I had to install patches for were the video and the sound chip. JCCOOL's Method got my Video card working properly. I'm not 100% sure how the installer works, but the results are somewhat interesting as it creates an EFI-String and stores it in the com.apple.boot.plist file. link for the Audio Realtek ALC882M and for the Wifi card which is Realtek RTL8187_Wireless driver link And last but not least the lspci.txt I hope this helps! Thanks in advance! lspci.txt
  6. Please submit your EFI strings!

Wow after looking at the listed devices or more appropriately (video cards) on this forum, I dunno if my device properties would be of any use... I've got a trusty old ATI Radeon X1950 XT 256MB PCI-e card. Yes its old (with 4870 already on the market) But it does the job and its pretty awesome. Here are the device properties for my card
  7. Hey Dune, this looks like significant driver. I have a P5W DH Deluxe m/b with the ICH7-R controller, the AppleSMBIOS.kext that came with 10.5.2 (I think detected the controller properly) but as soon as I loaded the SMBIOS.kext to get rid of the "Hackintosh" from the boot rom, it threw the ICH7-R to show as "Generic AHCI driver version 1.0", I'd like to get the correct driver on the system. Will try this driver tonight, see if that helps. But you mention that the BIOS settings need to be at IDE and not AHCI. Anyhow I'll give this a shot. Thanks for you excellent work!
  8. Beginner needs help! *please*

Hey ser1al.de, the only thing you'll need is the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1, its comes as an ISO file so you can easily burn it on your PC. Just search google for "kalyway 10.5.1 iso" and it'll point you in the right direction to begin your download. Also have you checked the HCL for 10.5.1 if your motherboard exists in there? go to http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.1, it might not exist but you can check other mobos that have the same chipset as yours to see how compatible yours is. From the look of it your motherboard is based on a VIA chipset PT880 Ultra and hopefully kalyway should be able to get you going. If not look for a motherboard more compatible. Good Luck!
  9. According to the your M/B specs you should be able to boot from your IDE drive. You might want to burn+verify the kalyway dvd again and then boot. If you want to try the flat install method you can try that as well, question is do you already have a mac or a working hackintosh.
  10. "...Could Not Establish Network Configuration: Success!"

Hi, I'm running an Intel Mac so I can't really think what might be causing this issue, but are you able to boot-in via Safe Mode? hit F8 before the Apple Logo + Grey Screen then type -x to see if the system will boot into safe mode.
  11. Hey man, no problem! hope that helped =o)
  12. spotlight search on iphone ?

Nope, but 1.1.3 doesn't bring spotlight search on the iPhone, but you might be interested in knowing that if Liberated you can install this application on your iPhone to search through Contacts and Calendar
  13. I had the similar issue, what I did was boot from the OS X DVD, made sure that the EFI folder was on my USB Flash stick. Once the installer loaded I launched the Disk Utility from the tools menu, unmounted the drive in question, noted down 2 important things 1. device info i.e. rdiskXsY (where X is drive, Y is partition) 2. if it was GUID or MBR. Exit Disk Utility, go into Terminal and browse the folder for EFI\pc_efi_v80 once you are in the folder where the startupfiletool is located (check via ls) run the following command for MBR ./startupfiletool /dev/rdiskXsY ./boot_v8 (Enter) use the following command for GUID ./startupfiletool /dev/rdiskXsY ./boot_v8 (Enter) dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1 (Enter) dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1 (Enter) Once this is done, you may now proceed to boot your system from your cloned drive. Good Luck!
  14. Darwin failing :(

Hi LeeJames, do you have a usb external drive? if you do, you can boot from the Leopard DVD and copy off the files etc using terminal to the usb external drive. Another way to take off files from the drive would be to take it out of the system and connect it to your working machine via USB external case, or plugging it directly to the IDE/SATA port of the working system. To re-install the OS X, you might want to check all of the BIOS settings and make sure that they're the same as before. Usually updating the BIOS resets all of the custom settings. Also please update your signature so we know what type of system you have. Good Luck!
  15. What I'd like to see in OS X is Windows Explorer. I love how you can easily merge folder contents, where as in Finder it simply replaces the destination folder with the source folder, unless Path Finder can do this, but I can't remember. Duplicate message, contact, calendar event remover for Mail, Address Book and iCal (in that order) I'd love to get my hands on something that can get rid of duplicate emails, duplicate contacts and calendar events.
