  1. Sup guys, thanks for this post. I currently have the G3258 running on stock clock speeds. My overclock runs at 4.3ghz. How do i change the configuration to speed-step all the way to 4.3ghz -- something like this? ## Haswell desktop processor data. gDesktopHaswellCPUList=( G3258,53,800,4300,4300,2,2 ) However, what to do with the Max TDP? Do I increase it? Leave it stock, at 53w? Thanks for the work guys! Edit: stehor and Quadie think it'll be fine running my overclock of 4.3ghz at 1.3v on the stock TDP value of 53.
  2. Hi Guys, I've been running OSX El Capitan fine lately, until I decided to get imessage working. I imported the config into clover configurator and adjusted the rtVariables and SMBIOS settings according to the guide onreddit However, now I cannot boot into the system unless I revert to the default clover config posted on this forum through USB. Unfortunatey I did not make a backup of my previous working config.plist file. So is there anyone here using a Intel G3258 + MSI Z97 Gaming 7 who can help me create the "perfect" config.plist for this setup with perhaps, iMessage working? Logan
  3. Hi guys, The OSX Yosemite .vmx file was not booting up in VM Player 7, was always getting stuck on the apple logo. Using VM Player 6 fixed it. So now using VM Player 6, I've successfully run a virtual system with OSX Yosemite 10.10. I now need to create a bootable usb. Unfortunately no usb devices are being detected (whether it is USB 2.0 or USB 3.0). Any idea how I can get osx yosemite to detect the flash drives under vmplayer 6? PS: USB detection of mouse and keyboard works fine. Only USB memory devices are a problem like external sata drives or flash drives. Edit: After some serious and tricky googling, I have now found the solution to my pains. Solution: Type services.msc in the windows run command. Locate "VMware USB Arbitration Service" Open it and start it. (This will now run the service.) Close your virtual machine and restart VMPlayer. Solution where it was found: usb not working in vmplayer 6 or 7

I intend to OC the CPU to 4.0/4.2Ghz and really want low temps with low noise. Can it run on hackintosh-based Mac OSX without any problems? Also, I have previously looked for soft-mods on GFX cards to convert GeForce into Quadro and Ati Radeon into FireGL cards. Is it possible to convert ATi Radeon 5870 into a FireGL using softmods? Is it available yet?
