  5. Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster. I built my friend a 10.6 hackintosh in 2009, after a bunch of troubleshooting I got everything working correctly(thanks to this site). Recently he broke it somehow and instead of trying to fix it, we decided to start fresh and install 10.9. I successfully got it installed and able to boot with only a few things not working (ethernet, sound, graphics, cmos). To fix these issues, i installed the following: -DSDT for my board (GA-EP45T-UD3LR) from the downloads section -Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx v0.0.90 to get network working -AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset -FakeSMC v5.3.820 -3rd Party SATA I also installed this AppleHDA.kext to get sound working (attached below) For the life of me i cannot get full acceleration to work, and I'm stuck on 1280x1024. About my mac identifies the card correctly. I tried different nvidia injectors, GraphicsEnabler=no/yes, safe mode, and 32-bit mode but no luck. Here is my specs: Motherboard - GA-EP45T-UD3LR Video Card-Geforce 9800GTX+ 512mb (Device ID - 0x0613) Processor - Intel Quad Core Q9650 3.00GHz Ram - 8GB DDR3 Corsair XMS3 RAM I also uploaded my DSDT, smbios, chameleon.Boot.plist, and apple.Boot.plist. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, I'm losing my mind trying to get this working. Link to dropbox with all files -https://www.dropbox.com/sh/b472k6ijk8euwak/l1UlMD0heq

    Hackintosh wierd crash

I just built my own hackintosh, and after some tweaking I finally got everything to work (graphics, sleep, audio, time machine). The only problem I have now is when I watch movies online, the computer will freeze 30-90min into the movie. Is there anyway i can find out if there is a kext loading at the same time it freezes? Here are my specs: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory w/ Red LEDs Model BL2KIT25664TR1337 EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80569Q9650 Western Digital Caviar Black WD1501FASS 1.5TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3LR LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Its not going into a kernal panic either, everything just locks up and i have to press and hold the power button to restart. Crash while watching internet videos

I thought it was overheating because every time it would crash my CPU temps would skyrocket, so I went out and bought a new heatsink and fan. The temp doesn't go over 40C now but im still getting crashes. The wierd thing is when it freezes it dosen't give me a kernal panic.

The second problem is the motherboard wont boot with auto timings for CPU and RAM, so I had to manually set BIOS settings and I finally got it to boot but only with the ram at 1066MHZ instead of 1333.
