  1. That is good for you. Unfornately, there are others who cannot connect their AR9285 to their network and I am offering a suggestion that might help to verify if it is their router or the card Er, sorry I am a noob, maybe can you tell me what is this about?
  2. I noticed something- the drivers do not work with all routers - it does not work with my N router but it work with my G router. For those whom it does not work, maybe you like to try out in other places as well?

    Hi, I update to 10.6.4 and tried to install the kext. The card is not started up by itself and I add a new interface airport.It is able to scan for routers but it unable to join them. Below is a copy of what is being show on the system profiler. Anyone knows what is wrong or what can I do to make the card work? Software Versions: Menu Extra: 6.2.1 (621.1) configd plug-in: 6.2.3 (623.1) System Profiler: 6.0 (600.9) Network Preference: 6.2.1 (621.1) AirPort Utility: 5.4.2 (542.23) IO80211 Family: 3.1.2 (312) Interfaces: en0: Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x1089) Firmware Version: Atheros 9285: 2.1.14.5 Locale: Unknown Country Code: SG Supported PHY Modes: 802.11 b/g/n Supported Channels: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 Wake On Wireless: Supported Status: Not Associated Hi, I updated to 10.6.4 and airport was not added at first and I got to add the intereface myself. It is able to scan for router but it is unable to connect to it.     Hi, I am just wondering - is the update real necessary? Will it really help my situation? I am using Asus T101MT which is an atom netbook. I am worried that 10.6.4 might not support atom ( I could be wrong) Thanks

    Basically I downloaded the kext file. I tried to use kexthelper and kext utility. annd tried command to install. All does not work. I am not seeing airport or anything. Will appreicate any help / How do you make the wifi work via update?

  8. Funny.... I unzip the file, drag the .kext into the kext utility everything seems ok. I reboot nothing... Did I do something wrongly ? lol....
