  1. Guys, just the last problem, How can I update into the latest versions of Leopard without the need to worry about Kernel Panics ? THanks
  2. Nevermind, I got it working (not perfectly though as I could still notice some frame drops during playing a movie).. I used EFIStudio by the way ..
  3. Thank you Shadaw, I couldn't get the help needed at these posts. Now that eliminated half of the problems, I got 3 problems left. Would anyone be able to help me overcome these problems please ? Thanks
  4. Hi all, As the title indicates. I installed Leopard using the Boot-132 method and everything, except the Video Card and System Profile, is working fine. I went about many installers but I had no success. Does anybody know why the 8800GT 512MB won't work ? I bought this card because I was advised it's the best card for a Hackintosh Thanks READ BELOW
  5. Guys, it turned out that my Leopard DVD was the cause of the problem. I burnt it using Disk Utility and it worked fine. No need to bash yourself up, and yes, I DO search before I post any question.
  6. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

I have no idea how to do that !! All of what I did was, burnt the ISO into CD, booted from the CD after completing the installation, the using Chameleon installer to make the HDD bootable. Period If what you said is an efficient of way of installing Leopard and not worrying about future updates, then plase enlighten me because you see to be knowledgeable about it Note: I'm scared now to install the Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk after installing the Chameleon Installer because I kept getting Kernel Panics when I used to do it the wrong way. Do you think it's safe now to install Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk AFTER installing the Chameleon Installer ? Thanks
  7. Does anybody have the kext files for the P45 Gigabyte motherboards ? They all seem to be using the same chipsets and controllers. My motherboard is GA-EP45-DS3P. Your help is appreciated
  8. How do you install Chameleon ?

Hi Shadaw, Thank you. I had the test image. I'll update you with how I go. Thank you again, It worked and the computer is booting fine. One task is accomplished, now to look at the following step. What's the difference between Chameleon Installer and the other "Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk"
  9. Hi all, I downloaded Chameleon-1.0.11-test.iso and Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk. I've installed my Leopard using Boot132, but now I need to boot from the HDD rather than the BOOT132 CD. How can I install Chameleon and get it to boot my HDD ? I tried google but failed to find a result. Do I have to use the same KEXT files that I used using KextHelper ? If yes, then where do I put them ? Thanks
  10. Hi all, I downloaded Chameleon-1.0.11-test.iso and Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk. I've installed my Leopard using Boot132, but now I need to boot from the HDD rather than the BOOT132 CD. 11. Hi all, I searched this site and google for solutions to my problems. I'm a begginer in this forum and all of these terminologoies used in the forum can not make it into my brain. I have successfully installed a retail copy of Leopard using BOOT132 method. Period. That's the furtherst I was up to. 1) I tried using Chameleon to make my HDD bootable but I failed to do so (I used Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk) as the system kept giving me kernel panic. So I need to overcome the kernel panic step before proceeding to fix the rest. Got it working 2) My Audio doesn't work. ( In the BIOS it says it's using Azalia codec, but in the manufacturer website it says Realtek 8889a or something) Got it working 3) My 'System Profiler' keeps crashing when I want to check the hardware. I have no idea why it does so, I really really want your help with this :'( Got it working by disabling CPUID or something in the BIOS 4) My video card 8800GT used to work with the nvInstaller.pkg when I used Kalyway, and it refuses to define the card when I use BOOT132 method Got it working using EFIStudio 5) The system used to restart/shut down using Kalyway and it refuses with the current installation. Got it working using some kext files 6) I used Software Update to 10.5.5 and no go, the screen stops at the spinning ball screen :'( Guys, I seek your help as I'm a begginer and needs your detailed help. I know that my system can work, but I don't have clue of what strings, kexts, Chameleon, DEF are.. Thank you
  12. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

Thanks Chevy, It seems that the problem was with my Leopard DVD. I wasted 4 DL DVDs until I got a good working copy. There are, however, few other issues now. 1) After completing the installation, then restarting, then booting from the Boot CD, I chose 80 to boot from my Macintosh HD and it did. The problem is that, if I restart again, the computer will not boot at all unless I put the Boot CD again!! What am I doing wrong ? Is there anything I have to install from the Boot CD after completing Leopard installation ? I found out that I need to install Chameleon to get my computer rebooting fine. I downloaded the Chameleon package, then I added some of the KEXT files into what the package asked me to do, then I ran the Installer, rebooted, and I got the Kernel Panic . I read somewhere that because I didn't delete the AppleIntelCPU xxx .kext. I booted from the DVD and deleted it from the Terminal and the system freezes and never boots .. Have I installed the drivers the right way ? 2) Computer Profile keeps crashing when I want to launch it (this never used to happen with Kalyway) 3) The computer doesn't restart anymore (it used to with Kalyway) 4) My Graphic card is 9800GT which can be installed fine using a package called nvInstaller.pkg. Now, how do I go about finding the appropriate driver (or the kext file) from within this package for my video card ? If I find it, where do I place them in the Boot CD ? and How do I install them in the computer ? Thanks I've been very pushy but answering these questions will get me to prepare to write a very decent and easy-to-follow tutorial using Boot-132.
  13. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

Okay guys, Here's what I'm doing: 1) After placing the CD in the optical drive and leaving it for few minutes, I get this : 2) Then after, I get to the Darwin prompt 3) I press ENTER, when the screen switches to the this prompt 4) I put the retail Leopard DVD in, wait for it to stop blinking (only a couple of seconds), then I put 80 since this is the No. 1 HDD I in the computer (81 would take me to the Vista HDD), and this is what I get after choosing 80 and then pressing ENTER. You could see that choosing 80 would give me (0,2)Macintosh which is my HFS+ HDD that has the JaS Mac OS X in it. 5) Pressing ENTER again would take me into the following screen (Mac's BSOD) And when I type -v, that's what I get I hope that you, Pros, can help me out overcome this initial problem as I'm the only one who seems to have such a problem. NOTE: I noticed that when the screen changes from initd.img ....... to the Darwin promt, a quick writing appears on the monitor that says "Can not find apple.boot.com, etc ) ..
