1. Trying to turn this i3 machine to a hackintosh - would like to do it right, and not get it blotched up like my Dell Mini9 :-( Please advise! Frequency: Dual-band: 3G and 4G Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-330UM ,1.20 GHz, 3MB Cache (has Intel® Hyper-threading technology to make your PC go faster) Operating System: Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit and Windows LiveTM Essentials Display: 11.6-inch widescreen, 16:9 WLED (1,366x760) Memory: 2GB DDR3 SDRAM at 800MHz - expandable to 4GB Hard Drive: SATA 250GB (5,400 RPM) Graphics Card: Intel® UMA (HM57)
2. I often use EVGA cards and mobos in my builds... Looking at osx86, it looks like EVGA is not yet in the db. While I know part of this project is being guinea pig going out into the wild... I'm wondering if there really is no one out there who's tried using EVGA graphics cards or mobos in their OS X?
3. Well, readability would be nice! If the database were made editable - it's like a customized wiki for the purpose. MediaWiki, as it stands, was not made for this kind of collaborative editing. Incidentally, if a member of this community were to take up such a database (porting some content from the wiki), would that be all right?
4. I hope the process goes smoothly - previously, I'd spent 5+ weekends trying to Hackintosh my Dell Mini 9 to no avail. Culprit may be 10.6.3 - the Mini 9 guides and bootloaders were for earlier versions. Just some clarification before I start.. if I use the updated ##### method, would DSDT still be required? http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html If I do use the ##### method, how hard would it be to configure Graphics, Audio, etc.? I'd like to create iPhone games on my i7 Hackintosh, so graphics and audio are a must! (NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250)
5. Tablet War

Well, as mentioned in another post, unlike the iPad, the PlayBook has cameras - on front and back. This makes it useful for teleconferencing and things that you'd need a camera to do on the iPad but can't Incidentally, you can also see photos of the PlayBook in perspective next to the author's hand: http://www.examiner.com/technology-in-san-...eils-its-tablet
6. I have the 10.6.3 retail DVD... I'm trying to install it on an Intel i7-860 system on EVGA p55 Micro motherboard. I am currently using Corsair DDR3 XMS RAM. Does anyone know which Hackintosh install method will work for this setup?
7. OK.. I don't have a Mac, so will have to borrow a friend's (could take till end of the month..) Can you write a quick tutorial on what to do once I am on my friend's Mac?
8. Yes - ready. I prepared the USB's on a Windows PC for my previous tries.
9. I don't have a external CD burner... (Mini does not have a CD drive)... Any suggestions on a USB Flash drive way? I have 3 USB Flash drive's.. (8 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB)... The 16 GB currently has an .img of 10.6.3
10. sorry for the large pics... but yes i've tried three different methods (each of them tried two or three times already), and all ended up nowhere. i've spent about three weeks' free time on this already - would really like to get it to work! oops - well, i think what might be wrong is that i am using the wrong netbook loader.. there are lots of different versions out there, so i'm not even sure which one i should use how do you boot in verbose mode?

12. Using the first Windows method @ http://go.mydellmini.com/?id=258X408&x...kernel-cpu.html Everything went smoothly on Windows for the creation of the two USB drives from the retail Mac OS X 10.6.3 SL DVD...
