  1. Hmm, I tried rd(0,0)/extra/modbin without the _kernel. I'll have to try it with it.
  2. Hello all, I am trying to get snow leopard to install on my laptop, and I cannot even get it to boot up. I am using Nawcoms boot cd (0.3.2) and a retail cd (10.6). After the mod cd loads the kernel and say to press enter, I press enter and my computer immediately reboots. I have tried many different flags, and it always reboots. I have an Acer Aspire 4530, with an AMD Athlon X2 (QL-60), and a NVIDIA chipset. My graphics card is an NVIDIA GEForce 9100M G. Help would be really appreciated.

No good, all it ever does is reboot.

Still no good. It still is not applying the fixboot patch also. Would this work if I used method 2?

So I've tried newcom's mod cd on my computer, and I get stuck in the reboot loop. I've tried it on another laptop that is also amd, and it boots up fine. Is there anyway to get this working on my computer?

I'm not sure if this helps, but here is the information that comes up right before the kernel panic. The flags I used were: "-x -v busratio=10 fsb=200"

I've tried busratio= 5, 10-18, and 20. I keep getting the same kernel panic. I've also changed my BIOS clock to UTC. I'm pretty sure my busratio is 10 since my clock speed is 2ghz and my external speed is 200mhz. Is the cd not taking my flags?

So it seems my bus ratio is 10to, not 16. I will have to try that when I can get to my computer.

I have my clock set to central time, and ahci is also turned on. Does my clock need to be in a different time zone? I have no options at all for AMD C1e in my bios, and I cannot overclock. For the busratio, I've tried 16, 18, and 20.
  10. I'm currently attempting to install Snow Leopard on my Acer Aspire 4530 by following this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=227592 but I always get a kernel panic that says "Timestamp counter calibration failed with 9 attempts." What is the problem here? My specs are: AMD Athlon X2 64 @2.0gz NVIDIA GEForce 9100M G 4gb Ram Snow Leopard 10.6 I will try to post a picture soon, since I keep getting an IPS error.

I assume I'm using the one on boot cd 1.6, and I specify "-legacy -v" and then boot. Even if I don't put -legacy it still uses this kernel.

After using a legacy kernel, I still get a kernel panic. I'm using bootdisk1.6. Here's a screenshot of my error:

This is the second hackintosh I'm building, and the first on an AMD. When I try to boot up after chameleon it automatically reboots. If I use -x, chameleon pauses at "ACPI table not found, No DSDT found, using 0 as hid value" and sits there. I'm using the cd method, and my computer specs are: Acer Aspire 4530 AMD Athlon X2 64 NVIDIA GEForece 9100M G 4gb RAM Please help!

Snow Leopard on a Dell E510

If you're still looking at how to get it on, I used this method. The only problem was that I had to use myhack installer 1.1.3. I have yet to get the accelerated driver working though.
  15. I also have this problem. I'm using myhack and it boots up fine, but then I get the grey screen with a mouse and it just sits there. Anyone know how to fix this?!
