  1. Hi, I tried 2x Buffalo and 2x PCI bluetooth dongles, and Buffalo BT works out of the box and PCI works but sometimes will disapera from system profiler. The issue that I have with Buffalo is that when my hackintosh is in sleep mode, it deos not wake up with Apple Wireless Keyboard or Mouse. Do you know any Brand/Model of bluetooth dongle locally that works with sleep? Please let know. Thanks in advance.

    Nvidia EVGA GTX 570HD SC

3)ID inserted 1086 Please use 1080 (the 0 actually means it will accept any value from 0 - 9) Also, make sure that you do not leave unnecessary spaces in between. Use tab and enter key when editing the file. By doing so, my friend manages to get the apple loo correctly at the boot screen. Please try...I have a 550Ti and it also works fine.

Fermi 5XX works with Lion DP4/GM!

Hi camoguy, Sorry for my previous post, I did not want to jump off topic, was just trying to avoid posting Post#1 while replying, but my browser would not let me refresh/update the page. Yes, I used Ermac Lionize Script, everything works if I boot with my GT 9600. But If I try with Zotac GTX 550Ti, I will get stuck at the Apple Logo. I cannot even boot into Lion for further testing....which is making me mad, cause the my friend has EVGA GTX 550Ti and it worked out of th ebox with GraphicsEnabler! Wierd, I can`t get past the apple grey screen, anything I missed?
  4. @hugeschnauzer All I can say is that LION GM works perfectly with our mobo, there will be a guide for installation in due time. Same as SL, let`s wait for the official release first, then we can proceed with a detailed-guide for LION on P6T
  5. @rev4turbomonster [inovice] First off, please edit your post, you posted twice. Hi guys, First off want to say thanks for this guide have had snow leopard running perfectly for around a week on my system. I have it set up for dual boot with windows but it has been running that well I haven't even bothered finalising all my settings and programs in windows yet. I do have a couple of niggles I'd like some help from you gurus with please. 1) USBs on boot up my keyboard is working as is my mouse external hard drive and web cam and printer. However if I plug my phone in (iphone 3gs) or my samsung galaxy s it will charge them but not recognise them or load them onto the system. It seems to work the first time you do it from booting it up but will not do it again after this. Is this a fault that can be fixed and if so how. [inovice] Did you try launching iTunes with the iPhone connected? Is your iphone a jailbreak phone? 2) I am also thinking of buying the wired aluminium apple keyboard with number pad as it frustrates me having the @ key displayed in the wrong place on my keyboard at present. My question is are there any other keyboards available with the apple layout and if so where can I get one from as ideally I would like to get it in black to match the case monitor and mouse etc. [inovice] It should not, you can select your appropriate keyboard when you boot for the first time/using system preferences and keyboard ( system preferences is on the dock) If you are looking for Apple Alternatives, please try Matias 3) my ram speed is showing at 800mhz but it is actually 1066mhz is there a way to get the ram to operate at the correct speed [inovice] Download latest Chameleon 4) I ran geekbench the other day and got a score of 7455 is this good?? and is it acceptable for my spec of system [inovice] lol, what type of question is that? But yes, it is perfectly fine, please use MacPro 3,1 or 4,1 in plist. Thanks a lot for your help guys really great site you have here. Look forward to your responses Matt [inovice] Please amend you sig. spec asus p6tse i7 920 12gb 1066 mhz ddr3 nvidia gt9500 1.5 tb hard drive partioned to 2 x 750 gb further 1gb external drive
  6. @carleycr Please try Fabio`s post#1629 instrutions, let us know how it goes. @slinkMonkey and dunmaster DSDT 3.5 works perfectly fine with i7 960 and up, for benchmark purposes you should stick to Macpro 3,1 or 4,1 depending on your rig parts, please add your rig details. Please use latest chameleon and read the boothelp.txt in your extra folder, add generate Cstates and Pstates, the how-to-do, it`s all in the txt.file. I have switched to 3.5 early this year and have not noticed any problem, in fact the system works better (close to a native mac) with post 4# instructions, my geekbench is same on Lion and Snow with some variations (19000 something always) same as when I was on 3.3. If you OC your cpu pretty high (say 50 - 75%), please add your bus ratio also in your plist, the system becomes more responsive (still testing this, but it does work well). Use the link below to calculate it http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=240542 @rev4turbomonster Point 9 from Fabio`s email, is only if you have internet or weird connection thru sata and USB (harddisk not responding etc...), then you can proceed with these additional steps, but your audio should be working before you reach step 9, so please give it 1 more try. FYI, Fabio was talking about post 4# IOAHCIBlockStorage /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/Info.plist >> Replace the plist with this << JMicronATA (needed for P6T & P6T SE) /System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext/Contents/Info.plist >> Replace the plist with this <<
  7. I just PM-ed you, please check your inbox.
  8. @carleycr The link of the page is here; http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231075 Use the latest 18-May build. @Lockwood Please use the version from here, I am not sure if Chameleon wizard uses the same update from Fabio. The Chameleon post from Fabio`s thread is tested on a regular basis by several users on the forum. May I know if you have repair permission/touch extra after the Chameleon Update? Also, please please please add your rig details, this is very important to provide accurate steps for troubleshooting. @fliprocky I understand your frustration and believe me, most of us have been there. First thing first, could you please confirm if your bios is as per post#1 If you want to know what a bootloader is, there are 100 - 1000 of posts here on Chameleon bootloader. Please spent some times to read them. Now, coming back to your installation, start with the basic first, use default setting in bios, follow iBdb`s advice and let us know how it goes.
  9. @bottswana Please download the lastest chameleon, it will detect you cpu speed and mem correctly.
  10. @Bostwana Please use only 1 x GTX 260 on the blue pci slot. Also, add your rig details. You can dig post#4 for more details using dual graphics card. @carleycr The screenshot looks 100% correct to me, it is showing your processor spec with 4 cores albeit Xeon thing - which version of chameleon are you using? Even if you OC, the lastest chameleon will show you the correct speed along with mem clock. I am not sure about the freeze issue....Can you also add your rig spec please?
  11. @FredEx If you have a 6-core processor use MacPro5,1 You should install using 10.6.4 (to avoid KP when booting he first time) Fabio is 100% correct about the below quote:) For other i7 9xx (4core) MacPro3,1 or 4,1 still the better choice (lot of case MacPro3,1 for GPU bench report). @kaczka When you get the chance to do a fresh install, please try the following; Why GTX 285 is slow? 10.6.7 will severely decrease NVIDIA GPU performance by causing it's three clocks to always run at level 0 low power mode. Edit the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext/Contents/Info.plist's MacPro4,1/5,1 section and change Vendor10deDevice05e2 to Vendor10deDevice05e3. The 05e3 part is for a GTX 285, this will allow the GPU to have power management; level 2 high power when stressed, and down clocking to level 0 when not stressed (~10C lower). The GPU clock will be at level 0 after sleep and wake, but the shader and memory clocks will temporarily be stuck at level 2. However, if load is applied and then reduced, shader and memory will return to level 0. The following solutions cause the three clocks to always run at level 2; Use MacPro3,1 in smbios.plist. or Delete AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext. or Use the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext from 10.6.3. Temperatures and clock speeds can be seen with nvclock, and for lower temperatures it's recommended to set fanspeed mode to auto with `nvclock -F auto -f', which needs to be set again after sleep and wake; http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1246 Thanks to jhrfc for automating this so it will start in auto at boot, and switch back to auto after sleep (post 119); http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...8757&st=118 (Extrait from dOOd post at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t196771.html) Thanks, iNovice

@Gidi Same here, I manage to get my new EVGA GTX 460 working, but it is unbelievably slower than my GTX 285, I use CAD to work on schematic/drawing...noticed that it is very slow:(
  13. @thomk Please follow Post#1, use your retail disk directly. Please do not use your flash drive. Keep us posted. (Flash drive installation is in Post #2)
  14. @Richard79 Could you please take a snapshot of your screen and post it here (with the KP)?
