  1. Anybody tested the port-multiplier if it works? I want to order the card from one of the online shop but there's no stock.
  2. Crash on my Snow Leopard and Lion
  3. Noob - GTX 285 vs GTX 460 vs GTX 470

I have a GTX285 and not having a single problem with Snow Leopard and Lion. No problem with Adobe CS5 too and confirmed to work faster with Mercury Playback Engine.
  4. ASUS P5G41T-M LX - Lion install

I don't think nForceIOATAFamily.kext can be used on this computer since the motherboard is using Intel G41 chipset Hey bro, I think a guy here could get his board working with tonymac's Gxx disk http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=...6a&start=10
  5. ASUS P5G41T-M LX - Lion install

I forgot to mention that I am using iATKOS DVD to install macOSX. I managed to boot into the installer using the installer but due to a problem with Geforce 210, I just cloned my harddisk to save time, and I am surprised that it works just like that. Also I did the same thing to another computer with Core i3 system. I did this to save time and because i am using my office computer to test a developed system. I haven't tested Lion however. Perhaps it'll work if you install it on top of Snow Leopard. That's not gonna be a clean install unfortunately.
  6. ASUS P5G41T-M LX - Lion install

I managed to use the same motherboard using Snow Leopard 10.6.x on the very same motherboard with no problem booting ... However I cloned my other Hackintosh installation partition, installed Chameleon and use it on this motherboard.
  7. Hi i got the same problem as yours when I install Tuxera NTFS. The popups are very irritating but writing to NTFS partition works. Then other strange symptoms came out after I installed Tuxera NTFS. Sometimes during boot, I got KP related to IOHID kext or PCI HDA audio (VoodooHDA?) or Airport Extreme. Sometimes it just KP when I shutdown Lion. So I leave Lion without NTFS writing support and it never had any problem so far.
  8. PCI Express 16x Card in 1x Slot

No matter how are you going to do it, PCI Express x16 is working on X1 slot. In my region, the ribbon or convertor is not cheap and also so rare.
  9. Info about flashing GTX 260 to be detected as a GTX 285?

    If possible flash GTX260 to a QuadroFX4800 or GTX285 to an FX5800
  10. 10.6.8 officially released

Aleady updated to 10.6.8 without problem. Seem it boots about 5 seconds faster than 10.6.7
  11. Cards that work OOTB

    Nvidia GTX285 - OOB - GraphicEnabler=Yes, No NVEnabler.kext needed . I am using Galaxy GTX285 1GB btw
  12. 10.6.7 Update released

Hah! My problems go away after restoring the IOUSBFamily and IOUSBMassStorage kexts from backup. Sleep and wakeup also working
  13. 10.6.7 Update released

Hmmm updating to 10.6.7 looks seemless until I have KP once I plugged in my thumbdrive. Perhaps I need to check the IOUSBfamily.kext
  14. PCI Express 16x Card in 1x Slot

Yeah! It works. I've tried to carefully cut my PCIe X1 slot with sharp knife to make it fit an X16 PCIe card. Modification with my motherboard: http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/je...se/DSC03092.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/je...se/DSC03094.jpg It works with Win7 and Snow Leopard. To make it work side by side with other graphic card, I'll need to enable it with EFI string or DSDT in Snow Leopard. Both works flawlessly in Windows 7, however.
  15. Graphics card for a 100% compatible Hack Pro

I am using Geforce GTX285 and just worked out of the box! Just needed GraphicEnabler = Yes in apple.boot.plist. QE/CI works flawlessly and never have any issues. CUDA, OpenGL, OpenCL and Adobe MPE works flawlessly. Any games played at the maximum resolution and quality setting at all times. Installing combo update never had any problem regarding display. There is no need to add for EFI string and GraphicEnabler.kext or it'll confuse the proper detection.
