1. Dell Inspiron 3650

This is great news! I have the same desktop, what were the setting you used for the installation. I tried doing the install with Clover and a ##### from tonymacx86 but there was no success. Can you post a copy of your info.plist as well as any kexts that you used? Thanks
2. Lenovo Ideapad Y470p

Hey Just got mine $542 for an i5 2450m and the 7690m is a great deal. Apple doesn't and never will use intel Wi-Fi on any of their products. Intel 3000 should work as graphics but I will try to install OSX on it this week. LAN as in ethernet or Wi-Fi Ethernet is broadcom so finding the kext shouldn't be too hard. If it's wifi find a half size atheros wifi card to replace it with and you should be set (research support first). 7690m is a rebraded 6770m (faster clock) which is what the MBP use currently but since they use a different method of switching between gpu's its difficult to get it to work in OS X if possible at that. Note: 7690m can be recognized and should be used to power external images in theory but may not work in the Real world.

6. Work in Progress: Google (Inventec) Cr-48

A little tip to keep win. 7 from hogging too much space. Delete system restore data or stop using system restore. (It automatically uses 3% of your HD for it.) To disable it go to startmenu>computer>on bar on top it says "System properties" click that> left panel it says system protection> click configure > delete > and then drag the slider to the left to 0% and you have about 1/4-3/4 of a gigabyte.

Install Windows 7 on the partition you created for it... *After installing windows you won't be able to get back in to os x using the boot loader/ you can only use the SLV1 cd you created! To fix it install easy BCD and create a new entry... anything really..... (http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1) Insert your retail OS X DVD.... in Windows explorer you have a navigation tab on the left click on the DVD and browse for the boot camp folder. Open it up and run setup... This will install a bunch of drivers that will screw up sound only... Uninstall everything that is network or sound related. Restart Boot into Windows 7 again. Now you should be able to see your OS X partition! Delete the entry you made in Easy BCD and uninstall the program.... Restart and boot into the SLV1 cd you created.... boot into OS X Now download ##### and install: Repair disk permissions and rebuild mkext, Then install chameleon boot loader r4 (SLV1 cd has r3) Party you did it! After a reboot of course! What this does: you have OS X and windows 7 on one drive and can boot into either of them using chameleon. Win 7 and OS X can see each other! so you can have one music library on one HD not copied into 2. This install method was created by kkdart and please don't copy this without citing me! See ya! *Dell 1490 wi-fi card should be installed using a method from earlier in this forum...
8. So how far does sleep work? I call your bs Intel Wi-fi works on my d620 Update the network kext by directly injecting it then
9. I'll give it a try some time next month... When I get to updating the bios to a10. One question does anything not work?
10. Didn't work for the D620 GMA Note: what ever power kext that you added the the extra folder destroys my ability to wake up from sleep using the corner trick (move mouse to a corner to turn on screen + reverse) in stead of doing this to wake up All the happens is I have to push the power button and wait 10+ sec. for it to respond! Setting the bios system password and the other thing. didn't do anything... I thought you had it but no.... By the way Intel Pro Wi-Fi kext seems to be working fairly well at finding networks the hard part is connecting to them... 11. All I know is a 1490 wifi card is airport recognized and will work flawlessly with OSX (no kexts needed) if you find a N card that works flawlessly, please spread the word. I have a hunch that the dell mini 9's wifi card will also work with this laptop. If someone could test it out for me I would appreciate it! http://projectcamphor.mercurysquad.com/downloads/ this is a link for the 3945 abg card that you have I haven't had any success with it though...
12. Please tell us what wifi card you have! "duh" Somewhere in setting (I think expose) you will find a screen that shows you corner so select one and choose put display to sleep and you will be able to close the lid. (It works if you just close the lid for 5 min. without any programs running or indefinably if you have one running {iTunes} if it doesn't work but you see the hard drive write light on then just tap the power button and the display should flicker on...) I don't know why but it seems to be working for me in 10.6.5 vanilla. 10.6.3>10.6.5 works completely for me. Everything worked except Graphics. To fix it download this kext and install with kext helper.
13. Try this open regedit The short solution for people who know how to edit the registry: A DWORD key called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation\RealTimeIsUniversal needs to have the value of "1" The step-by-step solution is as follows: 1. Boot Windows 2. Click Start --> Run and type regedit. Click OK 3. The Windows Registry Editor should pop up. Navigate within the explorer to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation 4. Click on the TimeZoneInformation "folder" from the navigation pane if you haven't already done so. 5. This assumes the correct key doesn't exist. If it does, you will just change the existing key's value: Right click on the white space within the folder (If you don't have a right mouse button, you may need to download a program called applemouse to emulate the "control-click" of the apple 1-button mouse). Select new --> DWORD Value. Title the key "RealTimeIsUniversal" (No quotes). Set the value to "1" (No quotes again). Hexidecimal should be fine. 6. Either reboot and set the clock in MacOS or set the clock in Windows. You should now be able to reboot into either OS and have a correct clock. It worked for me!!!
