  1. Thank you, Friend. I am up and running now, but my ALC883 driver from Mavericks is not working in El Capitan (no sound). What must I do to make it compatible?
  2. Okay, so I've used Chameleon for all of my hackintosh projects and I'm not really used to Clover... My GPU is an Nvidia Zotac GT 630 which was supported perfectly in Mavericks (which I'm currently using) and Yosemite. In order to make it work in Mavericks, I had to use PCIRootUID=1 and GraphicsEnabler=Yes with Chameleon and was using MacPro3,1 smbios. I'm kind of lost with Clover... I can bypass the black screen with nv_disable=1, but that's kind of redundant because it means no graphics acceleration. Can someone with Clover experience help me out a little? I'd rather use Chameleon, but it sounds like it's not really ready for El Capitan. If you need more information about my config, I can provide it.
  3. I'm trying to get things working on a Gateway laptop and the wifi adapter is a Qualcom Atheros AR956x (AR9565?). From the googling I've done, I've come to understand that this isn't supported. I've tried adding ven/dev IDs ( 168c/0036 ) to the necessary kexts but no luck. Is there any way at all to get it going? Maybe a workaround? OS X works beautifully on this laptop and it would be very sad to have to give up on it.
  4. Instantly reboots before install

You should be able to compile it on a mac if you have Xcode/GCC installed. The linux compiling process ( ./configure, make, make install) is exactly the same on a mac with gcc installed. This page might have useful information for you if you're interested in trying that: http://hpc.sourceforge.net
  5. Instantly reboots before install

I just managed to fix this problem! It turns out I was using an outdated version of Chameleon Bootloader Downloading and installing this version fixed the problem: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/261-chameleon-2-2svn-r2258/
  6. Instantly reboots before install

This is happening for me as well...
  7. I'm trying to install OS X on my Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 (00J) laptop and nothing is going my way... I've tried Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion with different startup flags, but none of them work. Here's what they do: Mountain Lion: I have this on a thumb drive. When it's plugged into USB, the system hangs on the boot screen and refuses to proceed. I know the installer works, as I've tried it with other computers, but here it refuses to boot at all. Disabling USB Legacy support prevents the freeze, but the installer still won't boot. Lion: Kernel panics immediately, citing com.AppleACPIPlatform(1.4) as the cause. Leopard & Snow Leopard: All of these hang with the same array of errrors; a list of lines that look like this: USBF: 0.803 EHCI controller unable to take control from BIOS USBF: 0.803 AppleUSBEHCI[0x4eb3000]: unable to obtain ownership: 0xe00002be USBF: 0.803 AppleUSBEHCI[0x4eb3000] : UIMInitialize - Error occurred (0x300002be) Appending EHCIacquire=YES allows these erorrs to be bybassed, but the system still halts, eventually displaying this message: USBF: 60.683 [0x53e8ff0] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 3 of hub @ location: 0xfa000000) There are no USB devices plugged in.... Can someone please help?
  8. Yes! That has worked a treat. Everything is perfect now Thank you so much for all of your help ^^
  9. omg it works!! I've been on my desktop for about 10 minutes now (without NullCPUPowerManagement) and it hasn't frozen or exploded Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it very much. But now, there is a problem, I have no sound... and the speaker icon is greyed out. This is because I must delete VoodooHDA.kext now? Or.. ? Thank you again for getting me this far.
  10. Alrighty. Is this what you need? reg.ioreg.zip
  11. That's fine, of course! I do not mind waiting. Thank you so much for helping me ^^
  12. Here's the DSDT.aml file from the DSDT editor. Is this what's needed or is it the .dsl one? DSDT.aml.zip
  13. I tried both your patch and the included kext. The kext produced the same result (CPU 1 has no HPET assigned to it / CPU 2 has no HPET assigned to it) and when I tried to use the patch, it said 'already patched or untested version'. I read that I could remove some lines from the patch file in order to get it to work and I tried it. It seemed successful but, after rebooting, I was still faced with the HPET error and a freeze... What am I doing wrong? I am using 10.8.3
  14. GA-G31M-ES2L is the model? I did try the HPET 64 setting but it didn't seem to have any effect whatsoever.
