    Z68X-UD3H-B3 Sleep NOT working

When I click sleep the mouse cursor fades away, but the screen and system remain on. When I shake the mouse, the cursor reappears. I tried "DSDT Auto-Patcher" as well as "DSDT Auto-Patcher Z68" and both had errors and didn't work. Has anyone successfully gotten sleep to work with OSX Lion with the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard? Thank you! System: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Temporarily using onboard graphics) Core i5-2500K 16GB 1333 Mhz Ram

Has anyone gotten the Radeon HD 6850 working in Lion?

Thanks so much for the responses! What install method did you guys use to get Lion on your machines? I'm wondering because I think the install method makes a difference with whether or not the card works OOTB. Maybe not though, I really don't know. Either way, I'm curious as to what install method you guys used. Thanks again!
  7. After scouring the forums, I have found nobody posting about the 6850 in OS X Lion. It is a great card, and I really am hoping to get it working. Also, if you've gotten it working in Snow Leopard, let me know! Any responses are welcome Thank You
  8. I just built my machine this afternoon and am eagerly attempting to install osx lion with Kakewalk 4.0.1. I prepared my 8gb usb thum drive and selected my motherboard with no problem. I set the bios to AHCI mode and HPET to 64 bit mode. I set my usb drive as the first boot device. When it boots I get a bunch of white writing on a grey background, then it goes to a black background. I snapped a picture of the screen right before the screen goes black, while the computer stays on. Again my motherboard is a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

    Opinions on my build?

That looks like a great build! My only question is have you read the reviews of the GTX 470 you're buying? It looks like its at the $150 price point for a reason... Maybe you could get this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...p;Tpk=z68x-ud3h It would save you cash so you could buy a different (more reliable) Graphics Card.....for example the Radeon HD 6850 or 6870 or if your feeling ambitious the 6950 Here's my source for choosing a video card: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html (Click the Price Performance option near the top of the page) hope this helped
  10. Hey i have the same setup as you. I am thinking of upgrading to Lion myself and I think the easiest route is to use kakewalk 4.0 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=195248 this guide ^^^ is old but u can just use the new version of kakwalk. usually u can download 4.0 from www.kakewalk.se but i think the site is down right now. I can't access it anyway. as far as upgrading to 10.7 and keeping all your programs and data etc i think u hav to make a time machine backup as suggested by this helpful guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=262015 Hope i helped!
  11. I'm looking to follow the guide on Tonymac's blog http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/01/int...d-mac-os-x.html It has a guide to install Snow Leopard. From there I'm hoping to use Kakewalk 4 to install lion http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=262823 The CPU MOBO and Graphics Card I plan to use are below. Intel Core i5-2500k Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128502 Saphire Radeon HD 6850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102908 Has anyone used this board or a similar one to install 10.6 or 10.7? Can anyone confirm that the Radeon HD 6850 is a fully functioning graphics card? And does anyone have another good guide to installing Lion that they wish to share? Thanks to everyone for helping!

Age of Empires 3 on Hackintosh

Hey everyone, I've had my Hackintosh fully functioning for a few months now. (Many thanks to lifehacker) The other day I got Age of Empires 3 for mac so I could play with my friend, who only has AOE3 for mac. When I try to play the game I get all the audio, but only a black screen. After it loads up, my monitor says "Adjusting..." and won't display anything else. I have to Force Quit AOE3 and then restart my computer, as I just get a blue screen after I force quit. I'm using a nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512mb and everything works fine, except AOE3. I even downloaded AOE2 and played it; everything worked fine, granted those graphics suck... I've tried downloading the NVinject.kext and installing it. Nothing changed. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Anyone have any idea what's wrong? I appreciate any help you can provide
