    Intel HD 4600 QE/CI Yosemite

    I have been struggling with the installation of Intel HD 4600 for Mobile. I use Chameleon Bootloader v.2.3 r.2578. This is my org.chameleon.boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>CSTUsingSystemIO</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>DSDT</key> <string>/Extra/dsdt.aml</string> <key>EnableC2State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EnableC3State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EnableC4State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>IGPEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>InjectIntel-ig</key> <string>0x0a260006</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1 -xcpm ahcidisk=1 debug=8 darkwake=0 dart=0</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>0</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string> <key>SkipNvidiaGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>2</string> </dict> </plist> I would then boot using: These are resulting photos of the next boot: http://img.hardtofind.hostyd.net/image.php?di=WAWD It stops loading at this point: http://img.hardtofind.hostyd.net/image.php?di=4DQ5 It then restarts. If I omit the -f, it will boot to desktop, but no .kext is loaded and this is my about MAC: http://img.hardtofind.hostyd.net/image.php?di=R0VS So, now what? Should I continue not using the flag -f and try IntelAzulFB=0-15? Or, something else? NOTE: I want to use Chameleon and NOT clover. Thanks guys, -Jugz

No QE/CI on Intel HD 4600 (Mobile)

What is the Chameleon bootloader equivalent of "Inject device id: 0x04168086"? Or are Chameleon users just supposed to edit the .kext?

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I would like to post my success story for everyone. I took a year off from the InsanelyMac community and when I returned, there was a patch for 1st Generation Intel! Bravo to all who developed it. It took three different combinations and restarts and finally got it. I used the Linux Dump Anal-yser method with the X1, LVDS, 10.8.x, and Alternative options in version 0.7. Now to questions: 1. According to Intel's page for my processor (see sig for details) I have a 2 core 4 thread processor. I have patched the kernel so I do not have to use cpus=1 and it boots but "System Profiler" still says 1 processor, 2 core. Why does it do this? 2. Now relevant to thread question: the Intel website also says that I have 500MB of Graphics memory but with this method, it only shows up as 288MB. Why is this and how can I make it the full 500MB? Extra info: I boot with this: My chameleon boot plists is this: And some pics (for proof): Thanks again for any help guys!
  5. You must delete every single graphics kext. All intelHD kexts. All ATI kexts. ALL GEFORCE kexts. Since you have switchable graphics, your video card will more than likely never work. Should have got dedicated. If you can't uninstall kexts via the -s flag on startup, boot into windows and try deleting kexts using Transmac. If you need a "link" PM me.

    ** device in slot slot--1 **

To fix this issue, I had to delete every single graphics .kext in my S/L/E. Then, your screen should not hang. Is your graphics card working in SL?
  7. Thanks for clearing that up! And the Chameleon patch would be much easier than bugging taptun all the time so I definitely agree with you.

    First tries

Install worked on the first try. I upgraded my Lion installation, booted into Snow Leopard, deleted all graphics kexts and AppleHDA.kext, repaired permissions, rebooted, and success! HP DV6-3000 i5-450M (first generation i5) -Awesome works guys especially besweeet. -Jugz
  9. Hey HP guys, Installed OS X Mountain Lion and it was a success! This is just fantastic news. Taptun, I'm wondering if you could possibly work on a patch for that kernel... I know that is a lot to ask, but I know that you are the best for us HPers Just in case, here is the Mountain Lion kernel: mach_kernel.zip (FYI, the kernel IS invisible) Thanks InsanelyMac Community. -Jugz PS My iCloud never worked until the upgrade to 10.8 haha. Awesome!

    AMD Legacy 10.6.8 64-bit?

64 bit kernel for AMD found here.
  11. Thank you so much taptun. I do not know what any of us would do without your hard work and dedication to the InsanelyMac community. Where is the <3 button when you need it?
  12. Alright taptun, time for your genius kernel patching skills. 10.7.3 is out so that means us HPers need a new kernel! Thanks for all your hard work. The update is good for vanilla installers and iAtkos users

ATI rom dump with linux question

I have dumped my video bios both ways and gotten a .rom that was 60kb instead of 64kb. I think this has to do with shared graphics. So dumb...
  14. kizwan, I have FakeSMC.kext in /S/L/E/ and it is x64 bit. Should I try booting using arch=i386?
