  3. Snow Leopard And Evga Gtx 295

Thanks Anarchitosh. After some minor troubles I´m finally using my GTX 295. I am pretty sure that my card is a dual pcb and at first in system profiler the gpu´s were reported with different ID´s so I used the double pcb script, then restart and after the Chameleon screen nothing not even with GraphicsEnabler=n command. So I used the 123 boot loader to select my HDD and enter the command and everything was like before GTX not working properly,a little check on System Profiler and the gpu´s were with the same ID´s,so I tryied the single pcb script and voilá. The GTX working properly and with all the memory reported on each gpu but the RAM now is reported like DDR2@800MHz. The card is a XFX Model No GX-295N-HW, Part No GX-295-HWFC Ver. 1.1 with 2 DVI outs (actually using 1 DVI to VGA adapter and 1 DVI to HDMI adapter but no sound,I was previously on windows 7 and the sound was O.K.) I´m still going to check how to correct the RAM speed and type. Thanks Again.
  4. Thanks a lot. I am now on a Mac Pro .I just want to share some things that I have done. I have burned the SL DMG on windows 7 using an eveluation of Transmac, first it has to be expanded then can be burned, after that decided to try the burned SL DVD installing SL on VMware (google for the needed files to install SL on VM ware). Once installed SL on VMware I decided to "restore" SL DVD on a USB HDD and put more needed files for my rig. Then I have done the installation with the USB HDD (In order to make my GTX 295 to work I used the GraphicsEnabler=n command on the Chameleon screen). The processor (i7 965) at first was recognized like a n Intel Xeon Quad and the memory like DDR3@1069MHZ the only problem I see now is the memory type and speed beacuse now says DDR2@800MHZ that changed when I was configuring the GTX using the ANARCHiNTOSH guide that by the way was a little strange because I am pretty sure that my card is a dual pcb and at first in system profiler the gpu´s were reported with different ID´s so I used the double pcb script, then restart and after the Chameleon screen nothing not even with GraphicsEnabler=n command. So I used the 123 boot loader to select my HDD and enter the command and everything was like before GTX not working properly,a little check on System Profiler and the gpu´s were with the same ID´s,so I tryied the single pcb script and voilá. The GTX working properly and with all the memory reported on each gpu but the RAM now is seem like DDR2@800MHz. I still have to check how to correct that. Thanks again.
  5. Hello Driver for HP Scanjet 5400c series works with 10.6.3 is not from HP iS FREE AND works with the HP5400c series and many other models and brands. Here is a list of the supported devices USB AND SCSI: SANE SUPPORTED DEVICES STATUS And here are the packages that are needed: http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/ Get the BINARY packages for your MAC OS X version and if you are a developer the SDK's. Install them in the following order 1.gettext 2.libusb 3.SANE backends (all the drivers are installed) 4.SANE Preference Pane 5.TWAIN SANE Interface After installing AND WITH YOUR DEVICE CONNECTED go to System Preferences and open the SANE CONTROL PANEL, and disable all the drivers you do not need, find the one you need and select configure, close, save, and the communication path to your device is set. Open Image Capture and the device has to be there like SANE USB. IF Image Capture does not sees your device RESTART and the device is ready. My 2 cents.
