    Asus 1201N Installation and support

Mosslack page 113 of this thread It is base on the WMI device you can find in the DSDT (PNP0C14 + ASUSWMI), so I think it can works with other asus product shipped with win7. Feel free to try and report. Remove any other hotkey driver before trying it ! IOWMIFamily.kext.zip This works after sleep as long as you have what is stated in your DSDT

    Asus 1201N Installation and support

Heres the DSDT Mosslack made for Teas 64 bit kernel (page 112) which is confirmed to work in 10.6.6 if thats any help. JCarlo updated to 10.6.7 with it but lost wifi, his fix is a couple of pages back.

    Asus 1201N Installation and support

In reference to the mic not working in Facetime, ive noticed under system profiler that there are 2 instances of internal mic as well as a line in. This could be the problem. Any ideas which 1 to delete and how?

    Asus 1201N Installation and support

Had trouble earlier with an inability to boot, issue with secure virtual memory. I tracked it down to the ghosts of paired devices that were randomly generated after sleep/reboot in the bluetooth pref pane. I took Mondial's advice and manually removed a hell of alot of phantom devices and replaced BroadcomUSB270Injector with BroadcomAppleBluetooth kext in the extra folder, then repaired permissions and everything is superb again with no ghosts after sleep etc. Thank you Mondial I have unfortunatly lost the ability to toggle BT but i will apply the bluetooth terminal mod that i found over at mydellmini (similar problem with my 10v a while back) when i get time. Thanks again.

10.6.7 On 1201N And Other Questions

I updated to 10.6.7 last night via software updater, I lost audio but fixed it by reinstalling the 2 audio kexts from VmonHeros files. Apparently 3 finger swipe is working in safari but i haven't had any luck with it, 2 finger scrolling and clicking works tho.

    iChat/Facetime Sound and 1201N

Got the same problem, posted it on the 1201n installation and support page but so far your the only 1 that has confirmed there is an issue. What kernel are you using and what update are you on?

Updated to 10.6.7 via software updater, lost audio after reboot. Repaired permissions but no joy, reinstalled AppleHDA.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext from VMonHeros's files. Reboot and everything working. 32 bit kernel.

Thank you Didn't notice any difference with the camera kext from same post as BT, not even in system profiler, still showing as 3rd party. Did you notice it as isight in yours? What temp is your CPU and GPU running at? Mines up to between 50- 60c at idle on both according to IStat menus. Also thinking of flashing the Bios with the image attached, so no more having to see Asus logo every time i boot. using this guide:- http://asus1201n.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/...om-bios-splash/ Anyone tried this yet? macosxBios.bmp

Have you tried facetime yet? Im having issues with mic input. Mic input is fine and showing response in system preferences. I have set to internal there and in video pref in app, still no joy, i also deleted facetime and plist but same result after install. Is this an audio kext issue? Has anyone else had this issue? BTW to all that have been a part of getting the 1201n running so well with OS X great work and thank you.

    Unable to install

Remove NVEnabler.kext from the extra folder on your chameleon bootloader. Sounds like you have it in there, try to boot your install with the least amount of kexts in extra as possible. Doing this will limit the amount of conflicts you face just installing the OS. Once you have Snow on there you can start the process of getting various devices to work.

    install problem with asus 1201n

Did you get upto 10.6.6? Have you tried Facetime? Im having issues with mic not working on the app. Works fine everywhere else, i have made sure that mic settings in system settings are set to internal and there is input from the mic, also set mic to internal in video pref on the app itself but still no joy.

    Hibernation issues

Try Ev0rboot.kext to get you past the CMOS reset, then patch your DSDT
