1. Win 7 Blue Screen?

aha! i do have that installed! Thanks James!
2. Win 7 Blue Screen?

Hey everyone, I would first off like to say thanks to everyone on this forum who helped me through the install process it was a great assistance! Also, i am really sorry if this doesn't belong here, either in this thread or in this forum, and if it doesn't, please feel free to remove/relocate it! Now, to my problem: I have both Windows 7 & Mac OS X 10.6.5 installed and separate partitions on the HDD of my Acer Aspire 5745G Laptop. As i am still working out some bugs in the Mac side of things, I am tending to favour working in Windows right now. When i close the lid, it goes to standby, but when i come back later, I suddenly see Mac! Now, in chameleon, Mac is the first boot item, and then windows if i stop the countdown and select it. When i reboot from mac to windows, it says 'Windows recovered from a serious error' and in the further details, it said the it was a Blue Screen. I have only ever had this happen AFTER installing mac! Has anyone else had this happen before, or am I a lone case? Thanks, and I hope i see some reply, Dronnoc
3. Snow Leopard in Acer Aspire 5745G?

No problems RedBack, just wanted to let people know what happened and how to fix it I might look into that! i use wifi round home, but every now and then i'll use ethernet, and i want a fully functional system I have VoodooPS2Controller.kext installed, and that fixed up the keyboard, but not the mouse, so i use my little wireless mouse, works a treat I also haven't yet disposed of Windows 7, as i have a lot of windows stuff, and a lot of it you can't get for mac.. also, i too want something with sound No issues at all, its all sweet as Dronnoc
4. Snow Leopard in Acer Aspire 5745G?

Hey guys, As i posted before, i had issues installing the Mac.. well, i fixed it to whoevers interested, what you have to do is make sure you do a DISC INSTALL! DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL IT OFF A USB DRIVE! Thought you might like to know Also, to whoever it interests, having Mac OS X on my Acer Aspire 5745G, I had issues with finding drivers for the nVidia GeForce 330M... but you don't need them! Simply upgrade to 10.6.5 Snow Leopard, and it contains all the needed drivers! There you go! Also, you the package #####, which can be found at tonymacx86.. its a ripper of a tool! I have WiFi, Graphics and Built in keyboard.. all i need now is sound, bluetooth, ethernet, and to get the trackpad working at all.... still a way to go, but there is a way when there is a will
5. Realtek ALC271X or Intel HDA?

Hi guys I have an Acer Aspire 5745g-724G64Mn and, when it came with Windows, it had a "Realtek Audio Codec ALC271X" driver for it, but when i look at the System Profiler on Mac OS X, it shows "Intel High Definition Audio" and thats it.... I have tried a range of different kexts, the closest one getting me a permanent hissing sound whenever the machine was powered on, but nothing else has even come close to working... has anyone got any ideas, or been through this and succeeded? Cheers Dronnoc
6. Hey, I was wondering if you could perhaps modify a BIOS for and Asus Aspire 5745g, with NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M Vid card and 4GB Ram, and an Intel i7-720QM chipset. It has four cores, but has hyperthreading support, but Mac doesn't recognise the hyperthreading? Cheers Dronnoc BTW, the BIOS is an EXE downloadable from the Asus website; I don't know if thats what you want me to link?
7. Me too! I can run the initial Darwin bootloader, but when i get to putting -v in, it screams through tons of lines of code, then my computer restarts! :/ BTW, i have an Acer Aspire 5745g Intel i7... Hope someone has some idea!
8. Snow Leopard in Acer Aspire 5745G?

Thanks edemus, but it didn't make any difference any other ideas?
9. Snow Leopard in Acer Aspire 5745G?

hey guys, i also have an Intel i7 Acer Aspire 5745g, and i followed AmphetaMarinE's mini-tutorial, but when i start my machine from the USB Drive and select the Mac OS X Setup, it quickly flashes up the grey Apple screen, then it reboots my computer, and does the whole process over again... has anyone had, and more so figured out how to fix/bypass the issue? Cheers BTW, i am running a 64 bit processor, does that make a big difference?

11. black flashing screen?

Hi ppl! I just managed to successfully install iPC (yay!) but know when i run it, the screen tends to flash black for a few seconds, and then turns back on??? it did it fairly regularly, about 2dozen times in 10 minutes... is it my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 3650 AGP - i ticked the right box in the drivers list!) or is it something i have forgotten to do??? Plz help, i really like the system, but i can't work with that happening all the time!!! Thanks in advance, Dronnoc
12. How do i install iPC OSx86 Universal?

Thx it worked the first time i did this, managed to get to the config - then the screen went into standby, and i couldn't re-awaken it! so i rebooted, it came up with even though no other hdd's were connected? i reformatted (once again) but the same error is occuring?!? what do i do??????
13. How do i install iPC OSx86 Universal?

Sorry, yeah, shoulda mentioned that... i have two other IDE drives + the SATA drive its installed on: 1 80GB HDD (Windows XP/Linux Dualboot) 2 120GB SATA HDD (Hackintosh - preferably just that) 3 250GB IDE HDD (backups) should i unplug hdds when installing it??? if so, do i need to do that every time i run the OS? 14. How do i install iPC OSx86 Universal?

bump - i really need help plz!
15. Hi ppl, First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section! Plz feel free to move it if it is! I have recently tried to install iPC OSx86 Universal 10.5.6 (the latest version, i believe) and it seems to install OK, but i cannot boot into it?!? After installing from the disk, if the disc is in the computer when it restarts, it just comes up with the option to boot from the DVD again? and if i try to physically go to the drive containing the install, it comes up with an error on screen saying: and it just hangs there, nothing happening? I am a real n00b, so if someone could help me in really simple terms please? i am not afraid to reinstall the iPC again, if thats what it takes! BTW: I have googled this error, and so far it all assumes that the user has been able to access the operating system and run it, and they fixed the error that way! But i cannot, is it something with my install etc? My Specs: Proccessor: AMD Athlon 64 Chipset: VIA K8T800 HDD: 60GB windows partition, 48GB iPC RAM:1.75GB Main OS: Windows XP is there any other specs you need? btw btw: i also want to be able to dualboot with windows on this, just incase you hadn't picked it up Thanks in advance AppleHac Lover EDIT: I tried running fro the disk again, ran with the '-v' bootflag and the startup froze at the following errors: Any ideas?
