  1. Hi All, I finally managed to get 10.6.3 up and running after a full reinstall. I also managed to get the ethernet working with d00d's suggestion of changing Network-Root to Root. However, sound is just not working. I have installed d00ds dsdt and the system is recognizing the sound device as Intel High Def but no sound is being emitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, fly x58-ud5 (f12) OnBoard Sound (Not working) and Ethernet (Working!) gtx260
  2. Total Noob that requires help! I had 10.6.2 up and running perfectly with DD's script. So now I decided to update to 10.6.3 and Im getting KP...booting in -v reveals the error "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC Driver." I realize that I might have done one step out of sequence..I deleted and use the 10.6.3 sleepenabler.kext after the update not before as suggested here. In addition, I upgraded the Bios to F12 and made the necessary changes in Bios before rebooting. I can still successfully boot into 10.6.2 on another partition on the same machine (cloned copy...which came in handy) but I get kp when trying to boot in 10.6.3. My system setup: X58-UD5 I7 920 2.66 GTX260 I used the correct d00d dsdt for my CPU but I think the problem lies in my kext files. I was booting in 64bit but now both 64bit and 32bit dont work. Could someone also guide me as to what kext are required in Extra/Stored_Kext and S/L/E. Thanks gents, bus
