  1. The Official Dual Booting Thread

I have Acronis Load up. From there I can select Win XP or OSX. When going into XP if I would like to jump to mac OSX I have the chain0 file setup. So with it I can also pop over to MacOSX. Then the mac bootloader loads up. And I can go between Windows and Mac again. I guess I made it way more complicated then what it had to be, but either way. It works though.
  2. 10.4.5 Vmware install, fails to boot nativly.

Anything refering to AMD . I don't think I selected the Intel one. Or I unselected it. I removed all printer drivers, and all extra languages. I kept something. I don't know what it was. It was something 11. Wasn't in a category nor had a description. I can always check again when I get back home. Thanks for any help you can provide http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...566&hl=acpi This is a similer if not exact same error. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...100&hl=acpi This person has an error thats similer, but in VM. I have it when I try to boot natively.
  3. The OS X86 copy was install using the VMware for native install method. OS X86 can boot from VMWare but when natively booting I get a few different errors. I have a problem with ACPI (motherboard issue?) and 4 potential argues on stack. and a Kernal (panic). After that I believe it hangs (hard drive stops spinning and curser stops blinking and screen shows nothing new). Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Or have any other ideas what it may be? Forgot to add PC specs AMD 3700+ san diego (939) Asus Mobo A8N-VM Ati x850xt (saphire) pci-e Maxtor 200 gig boot drive (16 gig mac partition). DVD-RW drive ^ Hope this helps . Thanks. Ross
