  1. Asus p8z68-v gen3 hd4000 igpu accelerated graphics

I think I got it. instead of using "multi_beast" to edit the AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext I restored the originals and edited them myself. actually I only needed to edit the first one. second one makes my computer not boot
  2. Asus p8z68-v gen3 hd4000 igpu accelerated graphics

below are my settings in clover.
  3. Asus p8z68-v gen3 hd4000 igpu accelerated graphics

ok scratch that didn't realize imei was under fake id. tried that it kept my resolution but still no acceleration hold on let me try that nope didn't work. now it took a while to boot and still flickers on safari and launchpad I noticed that appleintelframebuffercapri is loaded but appleintel4000graphics is not this is very discouraging lol. been at it for about a week now. and the igpu is better than that 9500 thats in there right now. ok so my computer doesn't like that ssdt you gave me. with it installed the appleintel4000graphics kext doesn't load. without it the kext loads
  4. Asus p8z68-v gen3 hd4000 igpu accelerated graphics

am I using the right platform id? everywhere I read says its hd4000 for my board. ill try that device id right now and do I need the 0x ? when I put 80861E3A in Devices section under Fake ID Intel GFX I lost resolution. I was trying to upload a pic but I'm not sure how. been a member for years but never posted. I found this: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/enabling-hd-3000-graphics-on-7-series-motherboards-and-hd-4000-on-6-series-motherboards.67263/. but according to it my values are correct already
  5. I have an Asus p8z68-v gen3 motherboard with hd4000 intel graphics. I've spent plenty of hours trying to get this to work with full acceleration. iv had no luck. I got full resolution and thats it. any help would be appreciated. I use OS X 10.9, 10.11, and windows 10. I have load vbios and inject intel selected along with ig-platform-id set to 0166000a. I use an Nvidia 9500gt for now which works fine but I wanted to put in my Nvidia gtx 1060 to use with windows and the igpu to use with Mac OS. I use clover for a boot loader
  6. Power Mac M8493 Quicksilver Model

you linked me to my own thread on another forum lol.
  7. I was given a mac desktop with model number M8493. It is a power mac Quicksilver model. I am not new to mac. I have a macbook pro and a windows tower with OSX on it, so I can usually figure out problems but this one is giving me trouble. I was told the computer needed a hard drive, so I replaced the hard drive. I read that the computer will accept OSX 10.5 but when I start the computer from the install DVD, it goes to a black screen and doesnt install. I then tried a couple other versions of OSX, 10.4 and 10.3 and both install successfully. The problem is: with 10.4 the computer looks like it will work. It has the bar that says osx is starting but after it goes to a blue desktop screen with no dock or apple bar at the top and just stays there. It has a cursor but thats it. the blue flickers a few times and then the cursor disappears and it has a circle of lines like the one when its booting up shows up. with 10.3, it only goes to that blue screen with the cursor and stays like that. No bar that says osx is starting and no circle of lines. What is causing this? the hard drive works. I have in fact tried 3 different hard drives.
  8. ep45 ud3r lion timed sleep

I figured it out by accident. One of the problems keeping timed sleep from working is one of my LG dvd burners. The Lightscribe one allows timed sleep but the one that came with the computer does not. Any Suggestions on a good DVD burner for this computer? I edit music and videos so I'm trying to keep that in mind.
  9. ep45 ud3r lion timed sleep

I have had a pretty stable osx Lion installation. The only thing I can't get to work is sleep. I tried cartri mac bios, gigabyte f12 bios, dsdt made for both. I tried sleep enabler too and all i can get is manual sleep. I can get timed sleep with the Please Sleep app and if the computer was only used by me that would work fine, but that only works when someone is logged in. Any advice would help. Thanks
  10. "freezing" on wake oxs lion

I partially copied this from someone else's post on another site but this PERFECTLY describes my issue. I noticed it first on my custom mac pro but later discovered it also happens on my REAL macbook. I have Lion set up to go to sleep and log out after 15 minutes of inactivity... When I try to wake the computer and move the mouse it uncovers the login screen wherever the mouse is moving (I can see the gray background and my login icons), but only where the mouse moves. Then after about 30 seconds or so, the full login screen appears and I can click on the user, enter the password, and log back in. What is going on? Anyone else having this issue?
  11. built in ethernet gigabyte ep45 ud3r osx lion

i have com.apple.boot.plist and org.chameleon.Boot.plist, EthernetBuiltIn=yes on both but no dsdt and I do not know how to make one. I had it in a working snow leopard pack but I'm not sure where I placed that.
  12. built in ethernet gigabyte ep45 ud3r osx lion

I got it to work. I installed snow leopard on a separate partition and the ethernet worked on that. took IONetworkingFamily.kext and put it in lion. my only problem now is that it didnt seem to see ethernet when i restarted it with ethernet not plugged in. I need it to be seen to register Avid Media Composer.
  13. built in ethernet gigabyte ep45 ud3r osx lion

    it didn't work
  14. built in ethernet gigabyte ep45 ud3r osx lion

do i have to log into something to download it? scratch that refreshed the page and it worked. I will try the next tonight and let you know.
  15. I am not new to installing osx on a pc but I have never taken the quizzes to post until today and failed the second one... heres the problem: I recently installed OSX lion on my computer with a motherboard GA EP45 UD3R. Everything is working great except the built in ethernet. Whatever I do, Lion doesn't want to recognize an ethernet card. OSX86Tools gives an error and EFI tools says there is no ethernet. I tried Lnx2mac and that didn't do anything either. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
