  1. Compatible Hardware?

    I am immensely excited to begin building my Hackintosh. However, before I purchase the hardware, I want to confirm that the following hardware will work with Snow Leopard (and possibly Lion if I decide to upgrade in the future). What I'll be purchasing: CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 Sandy Bridge Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2-B3 RAM: G.SKILL DDR3 4GB (2 x 2GB) What I already have: GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4670 SSD: Crucial RealSSD 64GB I also have the case, power supply, and DVD drive I know the CPU and/or motherboard aren't extremely high quality or perform outstanding performance, I just can't afford to spend anymore money on hardware, as I'm on a tight budget. I want to be able to do everyday tasks, as well as run Photoshop for web development/design.

    Take a gander at this thread.
  3. How about this motherboard with this CPU?
  4. I have a desktop computer I built about four years ago. I'm going to upgrade my motherboard and video card to hopefully support Snow Leopard. Hopefully someone can nitpick my chosen hardware and let me know if it's compatible or not; as you can tell by the hardware choices, I have a limited budget. Motherboard/CPU Combo: GIGABYTE GA-D525TUD Intel Atom D525. There has been another individual who has gotten it to work, so I assume it'll work. Graphics/Video Card: MSI R5450-MD1GD3H/LP I already have the RAM, HDD and optical drive, so I don't need to purchase these.
  5. Cheap Netbook

    I've come to the conclusion that my laptop just won't work 100% properly with OSX. So, I'm looking for a relatively cheep netbook, especially since I have a budget of $200 to work with. I'd really like to get a Dell Mini 9 because the reviews on it I've seen are outstanding when it comes to OSX installed. Though, I'm not sure if I can find one for my budget range. What are good (cheap) netbooks for OSX?
  6. I haven't been able to get QE/CI enabled, but I'd like to use the screenshot feature. Is there a workaround for this?
  7. Flash Not Displaying

    On certain websites, flash is not displayed correctly. For example, on Youtube, when I watch a video, it will play the sound but the video portion is "see through", meaning I can see to my desktop rather than the video itself. How can I fix this?

    Yes, I have the retail disk if that's what you're asking...
  9. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    I am, but I don't see any DMG :\ All I see are WindowsSupport files.
  10. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Okay, I got my retail install desk. Question: How can I convert it to an ISO? When I load it in Windows, all I see is some "WindowsSupport" files??
  11. Atheros AR9285

    Will the AirPort icon be displayed in the menu bar?
  12. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Thank you very much for your quick replies. I'll let you know how it goes after I get the retail disk (I just purchased it on eBay).
  13. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Awesome. And, would I use FreeBSD as the operating system type?
  14. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Can I use your first step, and install it on VMware?
  15. I would much appreciate it if you could get it working for 10.5.x.
