ATI HD 5770

Thanks for that pointer but would really like to get it going in 64bit mode. My problem in trying that mode is I get a black screen on boot.

ATI HD 5770

Having trouble getting this to work using tmongkol's method. Managed to get it working using netkas method but the resolution was running at something 1280x1024 only and of course only 32bit mode and it was only mirrored display not extended. I suspect it might be the combination of the DVI connectors but can't determine what others have used successfully - do 2 DVI connectors work providing an extended desktop. Just seems to get black screens in doing normal boot and single user. Also my card has a device of 68b8. Any pointers ?
3. I have geekbench scores drop by around 800 - was around 14300 now 13600.

released Update to 10.6.4

Updated - had to replace AppleHDA.kext to get the sound back - am running VoodooHDA.kext as well. Everything appear to work fine - speedstep, sleep etc. MB - GA-X58A-UD7 i7 920 oc to 3.99 - stable 6GB 1600 Geil RAM XFX 9600GT 512MB F6 BIOS Noticed Geekbench scores are lower - was getting 14300+, now 13600. Have had to replace the MB so the BIOS got updated and the settings reset but think I set everything back to normal. Not sure if the hardware change or the OS change caused the slow down. Anyone else seen a drop in performance ?
5. I know this thread is about the UD5 mainly but was wondering if anyone has built the DSDT and relevant other files for the UD7 running a i7 920. I am rather a n00bie at all this and have already stuff up my system a number of times by doing the wrong thing. Scrimpy.
6. MisterProfessor I have a similar setup. Fiddled with different kexts for ages then just used tonymac's ##### and was up and running in minutes with the audio. http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/02/mul...stallation.html
