  1. I've been running Yosemite on my machine for years, everything working and no issues. Dual booting with Windows 10. I have a P67 Extreme4 Gen3, 2600k, and a GTX 780. I couldn't get this machine updated so stuck with Yosemite. Anyway, I'm using a Chameleon bootloader and as I say, it's worked perfectly for years. The other day, while I was booted into OS X, the power went out and now OS X won't boot. I have no idea what is wrong or how to fix it. I don't think I have the original USB installer either. It doesn't get very far in the boot process. I'm attaching an image to show where it gets to in the hope that someone has any kind of suggestion. Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks for the link. I already have both installed and been that way for a couple of years. My motherboard has no UEFI boot options unfortunately so I'm stuck for now.
  3. I've been dual booting Yosemite with Windows 7 for a while and decided to update to Windows 10. I use a chameleon bootloader. After updating, even after multiple reboots, I had no issues loading Windows 10. Then I shut down and loaded Yosemite the next morning. Now, whenever I try to load Windows, it crashes with the error inaccessible boot device. I tried booting with a Clover USB bootloader. It worked fine for Yosemite but the same issue with Windows. Does anyone know the cause and any potential fixes? Thanks in advance.
  4. I have just successfully updated the rig in my sig to 10.10.5, still using Chameleon. I have a couple of issues. The biggest is when I run an installer for most apps, they almost complete installing then I get an error that the installation failed. It appears that the installs are actually installing and working. Anyone have any idea what could cause this error? The other issue I have is a hang on restart. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. I hope someone can help with the last couple of issues I have. I have been following this guide... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302041-guide-asrock-h97-pro4-yosemite-with-clover-uefi-installation/page-1 For the most part, it's working well. I'm unable to get audio working (alc892). I tried using the alc892 kext provided in the first post. I copied it over to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10. Still no audio. Does anything else need to be done or is there an alternative method to get it working? I also had an issue when I restarted, each time when booting back into Yosemite, I'd get an error that my computer was restarted because of a problem. Also, when shutting down, the system would actually restart. Both these issues are now resolved after installing the Nvidia Web drivers. What issue I do have now is when I shut down, moving the mouse causes the system to boot again. Any ideas on that? Thanks for any help. Asrock h97 pro 4 I5 4590 Evga 740 gt oc
  6. Thanks for the guide works great, but I have just a few issues. Firstly, I can't get audio to work at all. I used the kext you provided and placed it in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10. My second issue is when I reboot, which happens without a problem , after booting into Yosemite I get an error that my computer was restarted because of a problem. It looks like a kernel panic. *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff8000416df2): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f8152d000, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0x0000000000000000, CR3: 0x00000000011ef001, CR4: 0x00000000001627e0 RAX: 0xffffff8017364000, RBX: 0xffffff80d7208000, RCX: 0x0000000000000004, RDX: 0x0000000000000000 RSP: 0xffffff81104338a0, RBP: 0xffffff81104338b0, RSI: 0x0000000000000000, RDI: 0xffffff80d7208000 R8: 0xffffff8110433520, R9: 0xffffff8110433518, R10: 0x0000000000000000, R11: 0xffffff8019670808 R12: 0xffffff80d7208000, R13: 0xffffff8000b12f48, R14: 0x00000000ffffffe8, R15: 0xffffff8000b12f48 RFL: 0x0000000000010207, RIP: 0xffffff7f8152d000, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000000, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x0 My last issue is waking from sleep isn't working. I have my bios options setup correctly. Edit: Came across one other issue. A shutdown results in a restart. Managed to fix the issue with the incorrect shutdown. This was fixed by installing the web drivers even though the graphics were working fine. I can also now shut down though a move of the mouse causes a boot up. Still need to fix the audio and find what causes the boot up when moving the mouse. My system — ASRock h97 pro4, i5-4590 with a GT 740 OC. Other than these issues, it runs great. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Coning to new SSD issue

All fixed after manually copying boot1h to the drive.

    Coning to new SSD issue

I will try tomorrow as i've erased the drive to try again. I just quickly cloned and installed the Chameleon boot loader again then ran darwin dumper. Looking at the bootloaders, under PBR (Stage 1), my old working drive shows Chameleon boot1h. My newer drive has this section empty. Both drives have MBR code detected: boot0md. Looks like this SSD uses 4k sectors.
  9. I'm running 10.9.5 dualboot with Win 7 on a 128gb SSD using the Chameleon bootloader. I picked up a new 240gb SSD and used Super Duper to clone to the new SSD (also tried CCC). Installed Chameleon to the new drive. Set my new drive to 1st boot priority. When i reboot it uses the bootloader from my 120gig drive. If i unplug my 120, i just boot straight into windows. Any ideas?
  10. The only thing i'm missing is a patched aicpm, tried a couple but getting kernel panics. Anyone got a suggestion?

Connected up my wifi card and happy to report all is working. I think everything is working other than the opencl issues with the Rev 2 GTX 780 and using a theme for the boot menu. Much happier today and glad I didn't move back to ML.
