1. SOLVED! Apparently i had to use 10.6.2 kext for my video card, and everything went smooth. tomorrow i'll upload my dsdt in the database and do some other community things like osx86 compatibility list and so on
2. i used DSDTSE to patch my DSDT, and the only PCI slot i used is for graphic card. i edited manually my DSDT, so it was created by me and not copied from dsdt database, therefore it's not a problem with being tailored for another system. if i knew a way to log the things that come out at boot, maybe i could see something i had not noticed before, any ideas on how to do it?
3. I give Up :(

P4 is not into supported processor list, you might want to use a distro to get some results. I'd reccomend leopard tho, better intel support.
4. Hi everyone, those are my specs i3 540@3.06GHz Asus P7H55-M/USB3 4GB 1600mHz DDR3 RAM 1TB Caviar Green HDD Sapphire HD4670 And this is my problem Using ##### supported+retail 10.6 DVD i am able to boot in safe mode in 10.6 with vanilla 10.4.0 mach_kernel. if i do the comboupdate and run ##### it will boot, but won't get me in the login screen. it's like there's no signal to the monitor(i'm on a CRT and the monitor status light becomes yellow instead of green). the weird thing is that on some lines in the boot process i see that "log will be saved in /dev/console/" but if i go there from a second partition (i have two OSX partition so in case one goes wrong or an update screws it i can have my back covered by simply using CarbonCopyCloner) i can't see anything, so i can't tell what's going on precisely in the boot process. i patched my DSDT table, no errors & 67 optimizations and added almost all useful hacks (except time machine one, i wouldn't use it anyway and it was simply too much hassle for something i don't plan to use). for now, i keep having this problem no matter what i change. my only kext is FakeSMC(once i can boot i can make sound&ethernet to work). as long as i can tell nothing is wrong, or at least i can't see nothing wrong while looking at the text scrolling, if i had a log maybe i'll see something that now i can't. Suggestions anyone? Also, my board is nowhere listed as supported, so i can include my DSDT and share my experience if everything goes right. Sorry for my bad english but i'm italian
5. Mac G4 Modding

you're brave, i did this and it was a damn pain in the *** btw, here are my results. you'll need a cable extender because original cables won't be long enough. you'll need a drill, a saw to cut the metal backplate, and a soldering iron to use the original power on button. a normal DVD burner won't fit, so be aware you'll have to find a slim one. if you're still interested in doing it, post your results! if i was aware of the amount of time i had to spend on it i dunno if i would have started, but i can guarantee that the finished job looks great.
6. Introduce yourself.

hi everyone, i've been a lurker for a while, and last week i bought the components for my second hackintosh, first one was with a g31m board and was damn easy. this one instead is going to be a pain in the [autocensored]. i also have a white macbook late 2007 for mobility and other stuff. pleased to meet ya all
7. ricicli il case e ci fai un hackintosh dentro, con 200€ hai già un qualcosa di ragionevole. Ti servirà un cacciavite torx 10 e un dremel o un trapano per montare i supporti della scheda madre, per il resto dovresti divertirti
8. Atheros AR8131/AR8132

i'm on rev.2 g31m-es2l and snow leopard 10.6.2. i can betatest it if you need some more testers
9. Atheros AR8131/AR8132

as far as i can see, drivers are almost ready but still need a lil bit of work. since it's on a pretty popular hackintosh board (GA-G31M-ES2L) finding betatester should be rather easy... the amount of coding left is so huge? in which language are written the kext? i know a bit of c++ just in case...
10. Network Solution for Leopard

hi, someone was able to use the usb2ethernet apple adapter in snow leopard too? because it's not working for me. i mean, it is recognized, but on my router the ethernet led blinks instead of staying green, and on system preferences it says it's not connected (but if i go into system profiler the system sees it) kinda weird, huh? what should i do? any suggestions? thanks EDIT: got it to work by going to System preferences/network/usb ethernet/advanced/ turned off ipv6 then went to ethernet and manually configured it to go at 10baseT speed. yeah i onkw this sucks but i have a 7.2Mbps connection so i wont have any problem. hope it helps someone else too
