  1. Sound works only after restarting from Windows!

Solved the problem using the sledgehammer technique. I disabled on-board sound in the BIOS, and installed a Realtek sound card I had in the basement. Sound works fine now.
  2. This one is really messing up my brain. I have iatkos OS 10.5.8 and Windows 7 on my IBM/Lenovo desktop. Sound is Intel GMA 950 (ICH7) integrated with the motherboard. Voodoohda is installed. The mysterious part is that the sound will work only after a re-start from Windows into OS X. If I do a cold start into OS X, the sound does not work. The boot log shows considerable difference between the restart from Windows, and a cold start: Restart from Windows: (Sound OK) VoodooHDADevice[0x1253f000]::init Recsel fails src=010001c0 oss=00000200 What does Windows do to the computer to allow the sound to work in OS X? Is there some way to modify voodoohda.kext so that it work without Windows starting first and then re-starting? Has anybody come across this before? Thanks!
