  2. Chameleon 2.4svn Official PKG Installer

Hi. Sorry to come again with my small egoistic little problem - low res on my Gigabyte 9400 GT (1GB) old board in Mountain Lion. Just to confirm after some testing that highres and Edid recognition works ONLY with GraphicsEnabler=Yes using the Geforce and NVDA Kexts (including Tesla), from Mavericks. I tried different combinations including mixing some Mavericks kexts with ML kexts. Although system complains about Mavericks drivers are built with incorrect headers for the the system, they do work. It does seem a drivers issue not bootloader and it is strange for me that same board and monitor are well recognized on Mavericks but not on ML. I have not tried Edid injection because apparently I have to do it on DSDT not on Chameleon. So, for me although not perfect solution it's good enough for now, as it does not seem to affect OSX functionality. thanks to everyone who tried to help. estarola
  3. Chameleon 2.4svn Official PKG Installer

Hi. As I said in my first post I have Mountain Lion and Mavericks installed in 2 consecutive partitions of my disk. After managing boot and display using my Gigabyte 9400 GT with PciRoot=0, I got stuck with the low res display. I actually forgot that on Mavericks using PciRoot=0, display was 1920x1080 with the same board. So, I tried this latest test version of Chameleon on mountain lion but got still low res. Decided to check Mavericks GeForce and NVDA kexts and discovered besides higher version there were several GeForce and NVDA Tesla kexts that did not exist on ML. So, backed up the ML kexts and installed the Mavericks kexts on ML. It worked. Hi res and different lower resolutions available to choose from but it does give me some warnings. Shortly after the beginning asks me to 'Hit any key to continue' and very close to the end several warnings about the tesla kexts and built not being appropriate,.. but it works. I believe that ML does not read the EDID of my LG 2260 monitor correctly and sets me up with low res because of that. I am going to try to inject EDID in Chameleon and get high res using ML kexts. Anyone care to tell me how? Looking for the info myself anyway. Thanks estarola

  5. Chameleon 2.4svn Official PKG Installer

Hi. Thank you for your answer. Tried with another cheap video board, Asus 610 silent, and it worked directly in high res. Back to my old Gygabyte 9400 GT (although older than the Asus it's a bit faster on display) and managed to boot with PciRoot=0 instead of =1. Rather basic solution but I was obcessed with =1 value that was working with other motherboards and so was not trying the =0 value. Only thing is it's in low res and now I have to sort that one out. bdmesg output shows the correct card being recognized. If somebody has suggestions to correct resolution I appreciate it. Thank you estarola
  6. Chameleon 2.4svn Official PKG Installer

Hi. I am an hackintosh user for some time now. I have successfully installed Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion and now Mavericks in different motherboard and video board environments. Basically whenever I changed motherboard on my 2 desktops at home and/or upgraded OSX, I had to sort my way out again to manage to boot. Now that I upgraded to Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H, cpu 4770K and also to Mavericks I had some problems but as usual I found a way to boot and manage internet, sound etc. Problem is I can only boot with Clover but I would like to boot with Enoch/Chameleon bootloader. It 'feels' better than Clover but it boots to black screen after DSMOS has arrived. That is about the difference from Clover: after these last verbose boot process info on screen, Clover pops up the desktop and Enoch makes the screen into power saving mode (which means it is not 'feeding' video to the monitor, I believe). I am using DVI conection with monitor but have tried HDMI and VGA to see if I had signal on other connectors without success. Here's a few more details about my hardware: Gigabyte Nvidia 9400 GT -1024 MB (old video board), hybrid GPT/MBR Samsung 500GB Hardidsk (Mountain Lion on partition 2 and Mavericks on partition 3). I am missing something that makes the enoch bootloader not to load the video signal. I have tried all the related boot flags and read quite a bit recently again about video board configs on hackintosh but I am lost. Can somebody help? thanks estarola
  7. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

UPDATE 10.6.3 in fact boots without panic. System profiler does not report it but running Quartz Extreme Check utility says display is accelerated. Not sure about other graphic advanced features. I will try to find other utilities to check. Able to run Front Row.
  8. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Hi. Any chance of having an install package for Ati 4350. My card: ASUS EAH4350 Silent (PCIe). Ioreg sees it as Peregrine. I have iATKOS v7 install and SL 10.6.3 install. Nektas EFI 10.6, X2000.Kexts and 4500controller + GraphicsEnabler=yes Managed on SL 10.6.3 but only DVI and safe mode boot. Without -x,... panic! (DVI or VGA) Boots with VGA and DVI output in 2 different monitors at same time but on kexts load, VGA looses signal. Would love to know how to get VGA output and to avoid panic. Panic clearly mentions probem in SLOT and a few lines after mentions X2000 Kext Never managed on iATKOSv7. Tried boot string, kexts editing with ioreg info, device id, etc. Black or white garbled screens that is what i get (VGA or DVI). So, is it possible to get an install package for this card? Will give info if necessary. Thanks Hi. Somehow you probably changed your password and removing kexts will not help. Anyway, to remove kexts you should boot with -s and type: /sbin/mount -uw / rm -rf/System/Library/Extensions/'name of kext' (return) rm -rf/System/Library/Extensions.mkext (return) rm -rf/System/Library/Caches/* (return) reboot (return) To check the names of kexts to remove: ls "path to Extensions" Hope it helps
