Inspiron 1525 HELP

I have quite and odd piece of hardware: Dell Inspiron 1525 with Intel celeron 550 single-core processor and Solid state drive Thats right single-core + SSD, both problematics on hackintoshes. Anyways, i need to install SL 10.6.8 on it, since Lion does not work on this laptop + leopard or any older OS X versions dont support TRIM, which is essential. Ill post my lspci here: 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub (rev 0c) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c) 00:1a.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #4 (rev 02) 00:1a.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #5 (rev 02) 00:1a.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller #2 (rev 02) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express Port 1 (rev 02) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express Port 2 (rev 02) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express Port 5 (rev 02) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #1 (rev 02) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 02) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #3 (rev 02) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller #1 (rev 02) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev f2) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82801HEM (ICH8M) LPC Interface Controller (rev 02) 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801HBM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) IDE Controller (rev 02) 00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 82801HBM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) SATA AHCI Controller (rev 02) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 02) 02:09.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Ricoh Co Ltd R5C832 IEEE 1394 Controller (rev 05) 02:09.1 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 22) 02:09.2 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C592 Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter (rev 12) 02:09.3 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd xD-Picture Card Controller (rev 12) 09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (rev 12) 0b:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01) So yea. Just on a side note. Before i had the SSD, leopard (iAtkos v7) ran like a breeze, had everything working (sleep/audio/SD/etc) and ran on vanilla kernel + was updateable. Anyways, should i use a distro? Or i boot+retail? I have a good internet connection and a 10.6.3 DVD. Help needed, i really wanna get back into the hackintosh scene but this is the only device i have :/ And i dont have any moniez to buy a new PC or Mac.
2. So for all you inspiron 1525 owners out there ive found an awesome site giving a tutorial for Leopard/Snow leopard on the Dell Laptop. Furthermore, guides on this site help new and advanced users calibrate their color, speed up their hackintosh, install two-finger scrolling, dual boot with windows (Xp, Vista, 7) and much much more. Sadly, the admin of this site stopped updating this a year ago, and its quite sad for me to see this happen. Anyways heres the link for the people who wanna get straight to the point: http://macyourpc.com/ On the other side, im currently working on getting lion on the aging dell laptop. Im currently using iAtkos l1 with GM kernel, as my processor is a single core celeron (dammm). Using graphics drivers from this guide: http://www.osx86.net...ng-perfect.html Im also planning on dual booting with Windows 8 dev preview (an awesome, yet beta OS by MSFT). You can get it here: http://msdn.microsof...s/apps/br229516 The wireless (broadcom 43xx) card is still a work in progress (i cant use the drivers from 10.6.6), but ill happily write a guide for you 1525 owners out there *I am new to insanleymac but ive been hackintoshing since 2009 :-) **ATM my 1525 is running dual boot iAtkos v7 (leo 10.5.7) and windows 7 SP1.

Official "GarageMac" movement?

Its a cool idea, but i dont want apple to be behind all of this. I mean, if apple starts selling "Apple authorized EFI dongles for pC" or such thing building a hackintosh woulndt be as cool or challenging anymore. But on the bright side, i wish apple would stop patching their OS to prevent it from running on pcs (as in removing legacy drivers, updating boot systems, etc.)

OSX on Acer Aspire One D255E

First of all you will need an iAtkos s3 usb (Google is your friend) Guide: http://konteudos.info/?p=3296 Next you will need to use the Atom kernel provided in the DvD Use the GMA 950 Apple Ps2 Voodoo HDA Clamshell display support Chameleon bootloader Install WiFi and Ethernet using ##### (http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/02/#####-ultimate-post-installation.html) Im not 100% sure just follow the regular d255 guide and things SHOULD work fine. Always use atom kernel as atom processor does not support atom kernel since 10.6.2 Hope this helps :-) (im new to the forums but not to hackintoshing)
