  1. Lifehacker Guide with GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, i read that hdmi audio is no topic by now, but in my case the "only" problem seems that since 10.6.3 the hdmi signal is missing the clean "no audio" signal. - 10.6.0 (hdmi video signal perfect - no hdmi sound (correct) - no hdmi audio {censored} signal) - 10.6.2 (hdmi video signal perfect - no hdmi sound (correct) - no hdmi audio {censored} signal) - 10.6.3 (hdmi video signal perfect - no hdmi sound (correct) - BUT hdmi audio {censored} signal) I guess i will get another hdmi->dvi adapter and do it like this: -> 9600gt -> hdmi out -> hdmi2dvi adapter (to filter out the hdmi audio {censored} signal) -> going into the display via dvi input Don´t want to use a dvi cable since they are so thick and heavy and barely fit into my display because of the weird display stand Any other thoughts? Thanks again.
  2. Lifehacker Guide with GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard

System: EP45-UD3R Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 4GB Ram Graphics: Palit/XpertVision GeForce 9600 GT Sonic+ (2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort) - Retail install with Stellarola v3 Package - Updated to 10.6.2 some weeks ago (no problems) - Update to 10.6.3 today (alomost no problems) Updated to 10.6.3 with almost no problems: Only downside is that now my 9600 GT (connected via HDMI) sends an garbage HDMI sound signal which makes my monitor switch from analog input sound to hdmi sound and i can only hear a buzzing sound. It a common thing even under windows. If you dont install the hdmi sound driver in windows there may be coming {censored} through hdmi audio instead of a clean "no sound" signal. Any ideas on this? With 10.6.2 i did not have this problem. With 10.6.2 my monitor recognized correctly, that there is no hdmi audio. (which is what i want since i use analog sound output of the sound card) Thanks for any help Greetings
  3. Drivers for Nvidia Geforce 9400 GT - Success

Hi, i think about buying this passive 9400 with dvi + hdmi: Gainward BLISS GeForce 9400 GT, 512MB DDR2, VGA, DVI, HDMI, PCIe 2.0 Does anyone here in the thread use 2 DIGITAL monitors on a 9400? i don´t want to use the vga port, but the DVI and the HDMI at the same time for 2 monitors. thanks you all
  4. Hey, i think the P5QL-EM is nice board. Too bad so few ppl are using OSX with it. It´s been some months since your last post. How is it working? Any problems occured in the meantime? Maybe you can update your thread and list which components worked out of the box for you. And how about the bios? Are you just using the UNMOFIDIED latest BIOS 0418 and the install just worked from there on? If so, this would be the only P5Q... board which works with an unmodified bios? Thank you

Hi, im searching for a new 2x2gb ram-kit for the p5e-vm hdmi. since our board only supports tRFC-values up to 42, which is a lower value then all 2x2gb kit out there officially need, i would be glad if you could tell me some exact model names of 2x2gb ram-kits you are using without stability problems. many thanks!
  6. Gigabyte GA-EP45-DQ6

I just ordered the EP45-DS4 - let´s see how this one works. But since i´m still waiting for the 4870 graphic card driver, the system will not be very usable in the next weeks/months i think. Best regards from Germany

  9. Gigabyte GA-EP45-DQ6

Has anyone tried the EP45-DS5? Most of the Gigabyte P45-DS line seems to work quite well? I´m interested in the DS5 board.
