  1. Installing on an HP dv7 3085dx

Hello all, So i'm ready to be patient. I have spent some time failing to install osx on my dv7-3085dx. I have tried to research a guide for this particular laptop but can only find very limited information. I want a reliable OSX system. I am typically a windows and linux user. I chose to install for certain apple software like Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro. I am not too worried about which distro I want, obviously the newer the better, but which ever is the most reliable. It seems that Snow Leopard my be the distro I have to stick with. Here are the Specs: Microprocessor 1.60 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM Processor Microprocessor Cache 6MB L2 Cache Memory 6144MB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) Memory Max 8192MB Video Graphics Nvidia GeForce GT 230M ( NB10P GE) discrete 1024MB up to 2815MB total graphics memory Video Memory ith 1024MB dedicated Hard Drive 500GB (7200RPM) Multimedia Drive LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support Display 17.3” Diagonal HD+ High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1600 x 900) Fax/Modem High speed 56k modem Network Card Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Wireless Connectivity Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN Sound Altec Lansing with SRS Premium Sound and Sub-Woofer I've been able to get all three to install but with errors of course. I would like to know what you guys think would be the best option for my laptop. And if you have any material on it that would be great too!

  9. Hey guys I'm probably trying something impossible but here it is: I am trying to install Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 2650. I have searched my computer on this forum but with not much success. All the posts are at least 5 years old. My computer stats(what i know): HDD--------60GB Western Digital -------------DVD-RW Drive CPU--------Intel 02 (from a Compaq Evo Notebook N610c. Original CPU=Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor 400 MHz) VIDEO-----NVIDIA GeForce2 Go 100 I want to know if I can install Leopard on this machine or if i should go down to Tiger(if that will even work). I have tried to install leopard a half-dozen times already but the closest i get is it saying that the installation has completed and when it asks me to restart i do so and begin to load but i can never get pass the grey screen with the logo and the loading circle. So far the most successful versions are Ideneb v1.5 and Iatkos v7. But i do believe that I am not selecting the right things in the customize window before installing. Help on that would be great! If you have any tips for me or if you have accomplished such feat then let me know!

And i thought Apple PCs were a new thing... I guessing has been and will always be around! It makes a balance of things.

  12. nikon d40?

Nikon dude totally, I have a friend that uses it for photoshoots all the time.
  13. Canon XH-A1 vs. A1s

If i were you i would try out the newer version. Just because of the fact that kinks have probably been worked out that were in the older one. But i think you would be good either way.
