Thanks for the update. It works great so far.
  3. Asus 1201N Installation and support

If I use the DSDT.aml included with mestiso-1201n-10.8.3.zip it results in the following text before it hangs: RTC Only Single RAM BANK (128 bytes PFM64 (32 CPU) 0x80000000, 0x80000000 [ PCI Configurator begin ] I am pretty sure it is because of the amount of RAM being installed is 4GB. I figure that this DSDT is not for 4GB systems, as when I remove one of the sticks of RAM from the computer (leaving 2B installed) and try and boot into OS X, everything works fine, the computer does not hang on boot up, and the audio works. For right now, I am using the DSDT from the first post in this thread that was designed for 4GB systems. In addition, I am using the AppleHDA and IOAudioFamily kexts that you included in the ISO. This results in having audio, but it is choppy, and it cuts in and out during flash videos. I hope this information helps.

Thanks for the advice. I couldn't use the second method. Since the DSDT was designed for systems using 2GB total RAM. If I use it, after installing it and rebooting, the laptop freezes at the apple logo. The first method works but results in lose of audio during flash video. Is there another DSDT designed for this system using 4GB of RAM? Thanks again.

I am still trying to get sound working. I installed the Mirone's AppleHDA.kext along with the IOAudioFamily.kext from the front page. This resulted in no detection of the sound card. I haven't tried installing the DSDT (Mirone and Toleda) yet. Is this DSDT for 2GB or 4GB system configurations? I have a 4GB system. Do I need to install this DSDT to get sound working? If so, what is the best way to go about installing it? Thanks

Could you provide the latest link for the the VoodooPS2Controller? I want to make sure I get the latest version of this kext. Nevermind, I got the keyboard working via the VoodooPS2Controller kext provided on the first post in this thread. I installed the two sound kexts provided, but I still get no sound. Thanks

I installed the 10.8.3 combo update, it installed well, but I can no longer use the built in keyboard and sound doesn't work either. Are there some kexts that I should try installing, or something else I can try? Thanks
  8. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I noticed that I loose all audio after coming out of sleep mode. I have to restart the computer to get it back. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or have any tips on a possible fix?
  9. Asus 1201N Installation and support

@Mondi I finally fixed the App Store, FaceTime, and iCloud issues I was having. I simply installed Niresh's Installer Bug Fix for 10.8 Mountain Lion. I did this after installing OS X 10.8, then I installed the official OS X 10.8.2 combo update.

  12. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Hello, I have tried following the directions for installation several times. Each time I see the boot up screen load all of the library files, and then after a minute or two, the laptop reboots. I can't see the error message because it reboots too fast. Any help would be very appreciated.
